There boring and not so good. Why not buff them. Standard stays 220, advanced goes 230, and proto 240. They all do the same damage and a tank will most of the time get away so why not buff them?

I think they only need increased speed. Maybe even as high as double. Damage feels right, but applying it doesn't when any vehicle can rather easily drag them out, or in the case of ADS, outrun them.

Keep in mind that missile count increases over the tears. The two extra missiles from PRO over STD launchers alone make a 50% increase which is by far the largest relative increase of any weapon system in the game before even accounting for the flat damage increase.

This guy gets it. Its not the damage. Its the speed that is needed. Outrunning missiles in vehicles should be as easy as it is now, but not entirely impossible either |

No.
Flatten the damage over the tiers: 6 missiles at MLT/STD; 7 at ADV; 8 at PRO. Bring the per missile damage down to 165.
This would mean that the volley damage of STD/ADV would increase slightly, but PRO would remain the same. STD: 880 -> 990 ADV: 1100 -> 1155 PRO: 1320 -> 1320
Then increase the speed by about 5%. Then take the Assault Swarm Launcher: - apply a 10% damage reduction (148.5; call it 150 even, so STD 900; ADV 1050; PRO 1200) - apply a 10% speed increase - apply a 10% lock range (175 -> 192.5, call it 195 or 200) and a 10% lock on speed penalty (1.4 -> 1.54) - apply a 10% travel distance increase (400 -> 440, say 450) - increase PG/CPU fitting requirements by 5%

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't mind seeing a dumbfire version reintroduced. (Albeit with much lower damage.)
I mean like... Much lower damage. Overall I think it would make a better suppression weapon than a direct fire rocket.

No Dumb fire, but the assault variant should have reduced damage, increased speed, and removed firing arc. Meaning that once you get a lock it's a straight shot to the target.

If you can't make swarm launchers work right now, you're a special kind of bad.
Swarm launchers are the simplest weapon to use in this game, and are incredibly effective at what they do.

Swarms need a buff. Utterly useless at any level below proto. Even at proto are only marginally effective. If you think they are simple to use, then you are only considering part of the story. Since one is helpless when trying to achieve a lock, and you need a straight line of site to the target (where hostile has straight line back at you), the challenge is not in pointing in shooting, but in staying alive while engaging the hostile. And remember, those missile light you up like flares and draws the attention of all the hostiles, vehicles and infantry alike. Oh, and if you run Commando, then you can carry a light weapon to defend yourself against infantry, but you can't carry (A/V) grenades. If you run any other suit, you're left with a measly side arm to defend yourself against infantry. It can be done, but you are disadvantaged against everyone else who's going to outclass you with a RR, CR, AR, shot gun or any other Light weapon.
So no, I don't agree with the statement about Swarms being "simplest" weapon to use - they are far from it. IMHO shotguns are by far the simplest weapon to use. Even the militia version can 2-hit most everyone to death. Sneak around back, get close, blam, blam, run off. Pretty darn simple. Sniper rifles are pretty darn simple to use, but at least you need train them up before they become effective.

Haaaaaahahahhahahaha! You're ******* hilarious. Swarms are not instant death to any vehicle, but they are damn dangerous. STD is definitely not going to solo a good HAV/ADS pilot without luck/mad skills, but vehicles also don't get AI tracking or nearly the same kinds of cover, not to mention how you can quite happily get a **** ton of WP from vehicles, just by damaging them a couple of times.
Swarms, and AV in general, is in a pretty damn good place.
