I fly my python for its handling. If I could take off the front gun for two extra seats I would. Transporting my shock team is more fun to me than slaying.
It would be nice if they had to hit us hard multiple times to down us, or cause us to crash, but the try hards won't allow that. |

Your 500k ADS that you've invested millions of SP should not be able to be taken down with just a tap by a MLT DS that absolutely ANYONE can get with ease. This topic needs to be overviewed by CCP because it really is ridiculous! So you agree that JLAVS should not not be possible to use? That's different true, first you have to rig the JLAV so there is time to spot. Second you can shoot the front of the lav causing it to explode instantly, pythons are bad at air to air because missiles are very unreliable so even if your hitting the dropship you have to land 2-3 clips to down him before he touches you. Third, with the JLAV you have to have some speed to actually cause the detonation and destroy the tank, you can't just lightly tap it and cause it to explode, which is the case for suicide dropships.
JLAVing and suicide dropshipping are two completely separate things, one requires skill, the other doesn't. |

Also, how are you having problems with MLT Dropships? They're super slow and appear on the TACNET a few seconds before impact, allowing you to escape with ease, then shoot them down if your aim's good enough.
In reality aircraft don't have shields either, but yes let's not go there.
If you aren't already at a speed a few seconds is all it takes, and by few seconds I mean 1 or 2 no more. |
