Hey guys,
So it has come to my attention that CCP is changing and experimenting with Logistics suits amongst other things for Hotfix Charlie.
I just wanted to discuss logistics bonuses. How they work, do they offer direct or passive benefits etc... ok lets start.
Amarr Logistics - This suit gives bonuses to drop uplink deployment speed and amount of spawns per uplink. However, when you are dead or if you switch out to a different suit, the bonuses are lost.
This means that an Amarr logi can never receive direct benefit from his own bonuses. You will have to wait for the longer spawn times should you die and want to come back in on your own uplinks. Of course you will recieve passive benefit for your team and the war points for team spawns throughout the match.
Caldari Logistics - This suit has similar bonuses to the Amarr Logistics, only this time for the nanohives. I believe the bonuses act in the same way as the Amarr logi too.... hives are only bonused while you are alive / in the correct suit.
However the Caldari logistics can directly benefit from his powered up nano hives when ever he wants.
Gallente Logistics - This logistics suit / skills grant a bonus to the power and duration of scanners. Of course, same again, the Gallente logistics always directly benefits from his own skill bonus.
Minmatar Logistics - Finally, the 'Matari Logistics grants a bonus to repair amount and range of rep tools. In a similar way to the Amarr logistics, the Minmatar logi can never directly benefit from his own bonuses. Of course the repair tool is boosted so war points gained could possibly be higher however the rep tool does nothing directly for the user.
Summary...
The Amarr logi gives back the least to its user, technically tied with the Minmatar logi in terms of 'what the suit can do for you'. Of course they support the team greatly, however an Amarr Logi can never receive the benefit of his own improved drop uplinks.
The Caldari and Gallente logistics on the other hand are guaranteed to be able to directly personally benefit from their suits bonuses. (The better scans and the better nano hives.)
Right now I would say that the Amarr logistics sort of makes up for his downfall with the ability to carry a sidearm (as well as he loses module slots for this bonus remember)
TLDR - The Amarr logi does not need nerfing.
