I have played several games tonight where only myself and three others are actually playing. The rest are sitting up on a hill in the red line moving in circles. What gives....???? Load a frontline militia suit if you're worried about isk, but it's a game and games are for challenge... not easy mode. I'm not nearly the best player but just wanted to gripe. |

Play Ambush and they can't hide. Ambush betters your slaying skills, faster cap outs and profits galore. If you want to play a skirmish, join up in PC or a corporation that does PC. Problem solved. |

Kdr/wpdr mm fixes this.
K/D(r) WP/D(r) matchmaking fixes the whole game. Period.

Really? Have you thought it out very much?
Assume that the average KDR is 1
HMG heavies are going to get the majority of their WP from infantry kills and should have a higher KDR then average but less WP then others who are dropping links, hacking objectives and deploying/destroying equipment. So they will have a high KDR/WP rating.
Forge heavies are going to be hurting vehicles and will get bonus WP for damaging them, destroying turrets and depots from afar. Often Redberries will bail before destruction so their KDR is not in the same league as their WP. So despite being highly effective and sticking out like a glowing neon globe on the battlefield one can expect a lower KDR/WP rating.
This is just one example of very similar builds with a difference in firearm. Yet your matchmaking suggestion would have them playing in different games. I'm sure there are plenty of other similar outcomes like a scout who slays being rated higher then one who slays and destroys enemy equipment.

Current AFK methods
- Joystick in circular motion
- Turbo controller using crouch continuously
- Some menu option that when viewed prevents disconnecting (saw a whole ship of 8 sitting around without moving so I guessed on this one)
These kinds of games are good for practicing flying a dropship, or learning the basics of flying a more expensive variety. But also... very annoying.

Also up there are the guys that sit way behind the red in heavy suits trying to snipe. If you suicide charge into the redline they whip out combat rifles and mow you down as you try to get into effective range. I find this to be cowardly. |

Saw someone for first time doing the crouching thing yesterday, thought he was doing a dance, so didn't pay much attention to it. Thing is, we were in ambush. Why the f**k would someone AFK an ambush? Is the ISK payout that much more than skirmish, even at the bottom rankings?

It would seem like wisdom, but for the warning in my heart...

You can also put a rubber band on your controller to continuously move into a corner.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
