  I honestly can't see a reason why you would run a logistics suit over a scout unless you want to run a minmatar medic suit.
  Amarr logi bridged the gap between minmatar medic and scout-logis. If you look at the numbers, something tells me the Amarr and Minmater logi suits probably greatly outnumber the caldari and gallente logis now. Its not hard to imagine why that might be, uplinks and rep tools are by far the most useful equipments available.
  I would love to see the number on logi suits in general, in pubs there are enough WP farmers running rep tools to keep the numbers high but they are becoming rather underpowered in general.
  With scouts and heavies the way they are after 1.7 and 1.8 it seems that straight buffs to the medium suits make more sense to me. imho... adding a sidearm to caldari and doing a slot normalization that way makes much more sense. You have caldari and amarr as 'combat logi' suits with bonuses more oriented towards being near the frontline (uplinks and ammo) while minmatar and gallente logis would be more inclined to focus on their 'active equipment' using rep tools and scanners more in general and not being so inclined to need a sidearm.

          I have gotten used to the Caldari without a logi. My playstyle has adjusted for it. I don't think they need sidearms. I do think that logis need to be left alone, period. Fixing what isn't broke is not the solution here. |

          Under no circumstance should Assaults be allowed to become better at assaulting things than Logis. Logis have been better than Assault at assaulting things since Uprising 1.0; changing it now would be wholly unfair to everyone involved.
  Same goes for commandos, fine-rifle heavies and high-HP Scouts. We shouldn't be trying to shoehorn slayers into suits built for slaying. When it comes to assaulting things, the Assaults should remain worse than the other frames.

  I see your "across the board" balance and raise you racial variety. The different racial suits offer different aspects that has their own advantages and disadvantages. Or it can be said that each race has a certain playstyle within each role that compliments your own.
  A balance across board is wrong here. Why have Logis all the same? Then we might as well eliminate races within the Dust universe and just have the typical FPS class roles.
  There is just too much nitpicking. The people want game modes. Not to have to constantly argue about the unicorn of balance across the board with all races.

  um... I am for keeping the variety... I see this as doing just that... my issue is with rattati wanting to do exactly what you think I want to do... remove the diversity....           I'm on the boat that agrees with Rattati in removing the sidearm four an equipment. If anything there should be type 1 and type 2 suits so we could have both for each racial variant (keeping in mind race is more than just a tag, it's an entire set of attributes), but if we can only have one the equipment centric is higher priority.
 Amarr are the good guys

          I'm fine with the idea, IN THEORY.
  The concept of the "combat logi" (a logi focused on supporting active combat) is... fine, I guess.
  The problem with enabling the combat logi role is that it leaves the door wide open for the exploitative "slayer logi" (a logi that just armor/shield tanks and/or damage mod stacks, offers little to no logistical support at all, and usurps from the Assault role). 
  Until we have a solution that not only discourages, but prevents that kind of underhandedness, things should be left as they are. |

  if the assault had the right bonuses and slot lay outs, no one would want to use a logi for the slayer role.
  that's why I think logi suits should have better bonuses to equipment while assaults should have bonuses to their tank and weapon dmg.... and I still think a second grenade slot on an assault would make them a more attractive choice for slayers. |

  We're with you. I think many of us are saying the same thing, but different words:
 
 
 -  don't touch the logi slots
 -  make the assault class more worthwhile
 -  give the gal and cal logis a PURPOSE. Reanalyze the amarr logi. 
 
 
  I get a lot of use out of uplinks, but it isn't always necessarily from my amarr logi. I really hoped to see more of an impact of the timers and their use, but often times I can't even find my uplink in the sea of uplinks and in pub matches that extra 7 seconds isn't as vital as it is in PC. It needs to be reanalyzed.
