Same way you should look at the assaults while assaults are sucking and the same way you can look at the scouts when they used to fail. Making the most of the suit is what makes a good heavy, that and teamwork... lots and lots of teamwork. I see so many heavies just rush in thinking they're invincible, leaving their logi and the rest of his squad exposed. As far as who I think is a great heavy, well I only know a handful of actual dedicated heavies so I'd have to say my good friend Plaplap. Old time beast heavies that stand out to me were Lisa Michelle and ICECREAMK1NG of Warriors Inc... not sure if they stayed heavy after open beta, though. I can't say that any of them just had purely better skills or positioning. Unfortunately, all of the 'gud' Heavies have left or only do PC. They occasionally run Pubs, where I might get 1 or 2 cracks at them, but they have more ISK to burn, better support, and all of the advantages Scotty provides an organized Squad/Team. I try to follow a general rule -- start with my MH-82, and see what the other side pulls out. If it's also advanced gear, then I stay with that, even if I'm losing the 1 vs 1 heavy fights. If I see the other side step up to proto HMG cause I killed them too much, or sneaky scouts start pulling out their Six Kin combat rifles and Duvolle shotguns, then all bets are off, and I show them the business end of my Prof 5 Boundless with dual complex dam mods. I witnessed him use an Amarr BPO and MH-82 and killed Aldin Khan's proto boundless sentinel three times 1 v 1. Aldin used a gunlogi the rest of that game. The fact most say heavies suck is because they have never faced a true heavy. I have slacked off a lot and if you want to know what a true heavy is I will come back full time and show everyone. I am sick of these watered down heavies they are part of the FOTM problem, could not hack it as a cloaked scout and so they went tank and try and win. The fact is most of the great heavies are gone. I know I fought a lot of them. The problem is a heavy cant do their damn job because of the poor match making. As a heavy I cant hold a point, hack all objectives, and fight horde after horde of SG scouts and RR heavies by myself. I have been in to many matches where I carried the freakin team. I for one am sick of the heavy BS whining. That is why I have been skilling into assault to get away from the heavy. I love the heavy, but after all the BS of matchmaking and the IQ of some blues I cant carry the team anymore and I am done trying. Closed Beta Vet and Heavy, so no I am not FOTM I am an Antique

On my heavy, I chose to skill into Commando (Cal), cause I got got tired of getting smoked all the time on the wide-open maps, or depending on dumb smurfs for support when playing solo.
