I've got my shortlist of candidates almost picked out. Here is your chance to sway my four votes in your direction.

As we know CCP has talked about the transition of character progression to Legion but they have not given any specifics yet; i.e. vague comments on youtube and lack of a devblog on the topic. People who've invested $$ to support Dust deserve to know how much of that investment, if any, will carry forward when Dust is retired. CCP has kept us in the dark for nearly four months now and I think it is high time we hear from CCP.

As a candidate do you feel that CCP is communicating poorly in this regard? Do you feel that the transition plan is something CCP should communicate to Dust players ASAP? As a CPM member to you feel it is your responsibility to push CCP to communicate with the players in a timely manner? Do you plan on playing Legion if it is released or do you hate the PC master race?

Now I was at FanFest and rallied with my fellow Dust Mercs to make sure this transition takes place and it is one of my campaign topics to want to follow this 1st hand and make sure the transition goes the way players want it.

The other thing is working on more transparency for both the CPM1 and for the Dev's of Dust 514 so topics like this are communicated better to its player base.

What I Want to see in this Transition is:

Players retain their Names, Corps and Alliances

Players Retain their SP in the form of a Respec to place in any skill difference Legion may have from Dust

Players Items be liquidated and the values on ISK and AUR returned to them

If there is anything you believe should take place I will help fight for your cares as well as my own. So PLEASE let me know.

 Thanks for the time

A few months back I did a survey on Legion and one of the questions in it was, "What would you want moving over into Legion?". Results are in the link.

It's pretty obvious that people want most of their stuff moving across, and I'd like to make it possible. But CCP simply don't know what their putting in place yet, thus have no idea what they could give the players in return.

I'm doubtful that an ISK transfer will work, with DUST having too much of a large gap between the rich and the poor. But maybe it could be capped as a compromise?

 Other questions!

I think CCP have said all they can with what they have in Legion at the moment.

As CPM it would defiantly be our responsibility to push CCP to communicate with the players in a timely manner!

I will be playing Legion on my MAC! (running windows....)

I think it's crucial that CCP figure out what they can and will transfer in a timely manner. The sooner they figure it out, the sooner players can safely invest time and money in DUST, knowing it won't go to waste.

The biggest one I see is AUR. People who have invested, in some cases, hundreds of dollars into this game, should be given equal credit. Especially if ISK/item value doesn't transfer, it's important players have the capability to transfer the FULL value of their AUR investment, even if they have consumed or destroyed some of those items.

And the importance of things like SP transfer certainly relates to whether or not time spent in DUST is time that will "matter". A lot of players stopped playing DUST after Fanfest because it no longer matters. Being told what will transfer will give them a reason to come back in play if they intend to play Legion as well.

I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate |

Since it's likely that DUST will be canceled as well if Legion is not greenlit, we might as well talk about what happens if/when Legion comes. Because if Legion does not get the green light, we're probably 'out of a job' anyways.

Then a solid announcement on Dust's future should come De Facto with the announcement of Legion going officially forward.

 Yes they are communicating insufficiently.

Yes I -know- the transition plan should be expounded upon until players are satisfied their investment has been safeguarded.

This is quite an obvious and emphatic yes, they need to communicate at every turn and intersection related to the game, but especially in this case.

I will be playing Legion, but I will be awaiting the day it is ported to PS4 fervently.

I'm going to echo Zatara's sentiments here with the addition that a level of patience is required. I'd rather CCP to have an overall vision and then ask the community for their thoughts on concepts and ideas, adjusting accordingly, as opposed to just throwing out the first few random ideas and starting a lot of panic over nothing.

To be more specific, yes, they should absolutely communicate - but they should take a moment to refine the idea(s) instead of throwing it out to the community at the first opportunity, lest it starts a giant rage fest.

As far as Legion being on the PC I'm very excited to play it and looking forward to it's development since both current PCs and the PS4 are on x86 architecture, so once we have a well-made game in place on the PC it'll be easier to get it over to the PS4. Easier than Dust 514, at least.

Yes. Though they may have had plans to do so, they have frequently come off as 'knee jerking' in response to criticism of their announcement.

Do you feel that the transition plan is something CCP should communicate to Dust players ASAP?

Of course! but it needs to be a solid plan outline on HOW they want to do it. When there's not even a fully fleshed out an announced progression system how do they plan to announce SP transition if they can't tell us how it will translate. Rather than release a half-cocked statement, they need to have a committed ideal to push out first.

As a CPM member do you feel it is your responsibility to push CCP to communicate with the players in a timely manner?

Doubly yes. If we aren't we're not advocating the community. Getting CCP to more regularly communicate (or at least allow us to more regularly communicate) with the community should be #1 priority for CPM. #2, of course, being advocating the community stance in times where such communication is unwise, unavailable, or simply not happening for a host of other reasons.

Do you plan on playing Legion if it is released or do you hate the PC master race?

Having originally come from a PC Gaming standpoint, I am a child of both Console and PC Generations, and find myself torn. We all knew that the PS3 System wouldn't support what CCP wanted to do with it, was a bad platform to develop a game on (Sony's Approval process and more contribute here) and was running near the end of it's life when DUST was finally released (granted it was in it's Prime when DUST was 'announced').

I will be playing Legion when it comes to PC. I will also be pushing hard for it to gain a solid 'core' gaming experience that can be ported to PS4. So when it does, it can survive the 'slow down' of updates and content patches that Sony's Approval Process will put onto it.

I think its important to differentiate between "CCP" as in the corporation, and "Legion Developers". I get the impression that CCP is preventing Legion Devs from talking about the progress. Why? Who knows, upper management at CCP does weird and often stupid **** quite often.

Are the Devs communicating properly? Not quite, but it may be out of their hands. I think however that some information is better than no information, especially when many players are spending money under the assumption that it will carry into Legion. And not only that, there is a lot of time and emotional investment in this franchise, and CCP needs to make it a priority to put their loyal fans's minds at rest. We deserve to know ASAP.

As for the CPM's responsibility? Absolutely, it should always be a hard hitting point for the CPM to encourage better community communication. However keep in mind that the CPM primarily speaks with the Developers, so if upper CCP management is saying "No go", the Devs hands may be tied, regardless of what they may want to talk about or not. CPM can ***** and moan and be generally annoying, but at the end of the day they can't force CCP to do anything. I can ***** and moan and be annoying as **** and I will do everything I can to push for what the player base needs, but I also can't force change to happen if CCP is dead set on not doing something. It's an ugly truth, I know.

As for Legion, I will of course be player. I have a gaming PC, but I grew up a console kid and that'll never change. Dust is on PS3, so it is a primary focus of mine to make sure that Legion makes to PS4 at some point in the development process.

 Like my ideas?
