An air raid siren is warning of an incoming rocket, and you say "Screw getting to a safe area, I'm finishing this match!".
And then lose as an Orbital wipes out your team's clone reserves.
Kind of ironic.

The closest I've gotten to having the same experience is when the micRowave beeps when my hot pockets finish

To be fair, an Iron Dome system is protecting my area.
If it detects that the rocket is going to hit in a populated area (I.E not open terrain) it will attempt to intercept.
The success rate on those is pretty high, though shrapnel can still damage you.

If something bad happens where I live I won't have time to take cover anyway. Los Alamos national labs is 45 minutes away, god knows what they are working on. One time a fire came close to causing a radioactive disaster, I kept playing, better to stay distracted. If there was a nuclear strike new mexico would be toast, Sandia labs handles the nuclear budget and management for the whole country and Los Alamos makes all sorts of prototypes, nuclear reactors for our aircraft carriers and such. Couldn't have a better target. |

heh, depending on where you live you have 15 seconds to 3 minutes of warning time.
In my case it's 1:30 minutes.

So I grew in relative peace.
However down in the south there is a generation of teenagers that grew under constant rocket strikes for the past 14 years.
The downside is that the rockets that DO reach here, have a larger explosive warhead.
60kg in my case.
