It's as if no one is afraid of it. I could be perched on a high spot spamming shots into an enclosed area whilst sitting on hives and players would just walk out into direct fire, stand idly in one spot, and shoot at me.
It is great for clearing equipment and getting kill assists, though... |

AMD is supposed to be like that.
It's a panic inducing weapon, not a damage dealing one.

With the increase of scouts and heavies, the MD is suffering. Heavy resistances and scout speed mean very little damage is actually reaching your target. Sadly the HMG, SG and RR are sharing the top spots. Although it is nice to see some LR and PC out there. Maybe try the PC?

i use the standard mass driver because of the lack of the amd's damage. my friend on the other hand use's a amd with an smg to finish them off. i tend to use a minmatard mando with swarms and mass driver so i dont have the option of a finishing weapon.

This. I've only ever used it to try and scare cloaked scouts out of objectives or to farm assists from behind a heavy/squad. |

I use mostly EC-3 on my Minmatar commando and get kills quite nicely with it. It's a spam weapon but coupled with the ROF and blast radius not many people want to push through. You should always have the range and elevation advantage of course.

Yeah. I've found the MD to be situational, but very effective once you start recognizing the right situations. It can be used to great effect for assaulting the Dom research facility, where every heavy is running a Boundless with a core focused up his a$$. You can soften up a lot of targets right before your team's heavies bust in.

The Minmando gets a 2% damage bonus to the MD per level, which explains your higher frequently of kills as opposed to assists. Part of the reason I plan on doing exactly the same, in the next few months.
More important that ever to always be pairing the right weapon with the right suit. Same reason my ADV Calmando/SB-39/N7-A combo is so beast mode right now.
