why do people not realize that the lr deals hundreds of dmg worth of hitpoints in under a second..stop strafing into my beam trying to kill me..strafe aways from morties death touch and shoot her.

dude wtf...i join your bloody corp go on vacation for tha holiday we Americans love so much the 4rth..and i come back and im a fuckin ceo...well i couldnt have that didnt know when i was gunna be on again of the 8 peeps left..none were officers..so i kickd everyone and disbanded the corp..so i could leave the damn thing.
word to the wise dont leave ceo to someone who doesnt even like to squad lead lol...i will disband the corp in my eagerness to drop such heavy responsibilities i am here for killing that is all

no break contact with the bea, asap head for cover...and keep your ears open.
the lr is a pre cook weapon there are clear and defined moments where it is ideal to suffer dmg if you have to.
for example scr...the high dmg you want to avoid is the initial burst for lr its the opposite.
so with scr...you jump in early in the lr fire time deal your dps and hide..wait for the beam to continue if you didnt kill them and then..hit them when they are reloading if they are visible(scrubs) or when they start firing again.
for lr its the opposite
rr has a more constant dmg.. where as lr ramps up..which makes it the hardest to fight with lr i think...cr is generally not noticed at these ranges.
allot of longer range weapon users seem to be less able of precision firing exceeding 100m which i dont understand...
and you know this shayz.
the whole point with lr is avoiding the death touch..i was just curious why people see my death beam wait for it to ramp up and then go ima jump into that..instead of going early on where they might survive ..so i thought ide make a nice mocking thread to put it out there |

Sorry, that's my fault. I was supposed to send everyone some mail telling them to apply to the new corp, but I guess I forgot to send it.

As for why people keep trying to strrafe into your Laser, most players aren't really good with a LR (or have Amarr Assault V), so you can easily strafe through their aim if your fast enough to break their AA.

That might be the quoted (didn't check--as you usually know what your talking about) Atiim but I have repeatedly taken on rail rifles at all tiers with a proto laser and if I didn't have the first pull of the trigger first I lost every fight.
The rail rifle will out DPS the laser at any distance. I have lost too many suits trying to prove otherwise. The only way to take on a rail rifle is to warm up the laser. I also suspect the roll off of the laser above 100 meters is steeper than the rail rifle. The rail rifle has a clear advantage above 120 meters. |

ScR vs. LR battles are so amazingly fun since they are both so balanced in their strengths despite the fact that the strengths lie in different aspects, one focuses on DPS build up and the other is based on precision Alpha Bursts. I recall awesome fights against Levithunder and Aero but I still haven't fought you Morty.

I was running with someone and he was using an Amarr logi with a laser just as a troll fit and he went 43/3 granted he was sitting on three repping hives and I was repping him with a core focused on my min logi most of the time but it was pretty funny to see the laser rifle rofl stomp the other team.

Those are the Effective Ranges, not Absolute Ranges.
However, they both share the same Absolute (250m).
