I am not sure inferior is the right word but this comes down to play style and fitting style so I can not argue against you.

I suppose I am just a badass in an inferior suit then.
But seriously in my opinion the Amarr Assault is in a great place with everything aside from maybe a little more passive scan distance to make it actually built to perform in its zone. I would not ever consider it inferior specially after the things I have done to scouts of all races.

Pre buff Duvolle could get the job done, but you can't argue it was as good as the other rifles.
