Through I am a fan of your earlier work on the subject matter. I must take issue with you interpretation of this text from the apocrypha. I believe you're over interpreting the intent of the author. I would argue a more canonical interpretation would be:

From this text it's plain to see that he is commanding us, the reader, to speak only in a manner that fits with his cultural mores or not at all.
