I refuse to vote for any candidate that has had any affiliation with DNS, by this I mean was in a corporation in said alliance during the reign of PC Farming...(Yes, I know. "way to hold a grudge," but what can you do?...)

If your willing to refuse a vote for a Candidate based on something as arbitrary as Corporation Tags, your vote probably wasn't that important in the first place, as it is the vote of an ignorant person.
Though if you truly wish to withhold a vote from someone involved in the DNS Regime, it'd only be fair to refuse to vote for those who are in Corporations who caused it as well (pretty much every candidate who's corp is/was ever in MH.)

I prefer the term retrospective voter, I am still going to vote but not for candidates that you know kinda hurt the game in a big way...And if you don't like the manner in which I decide to vote you can go out find some other democratic system that suits you sweet, "It's only about the candidates positions on issues to get votes." Because these members of the game have decided to become candidates to represent the players of this game, then they should be prepared to have their history of this game reviewed...
Also in politics votes of the ignorant are what win elections.

I don't like or dislike the manner in which you vote, and quite frankly I don't care simply because I have no affiliations with any of the Candidates, and it's their job to earn your vote, not mine.
I'm just here to inform you that your conforming to a Logical Fallacy.

I'm just here to inform you that your conforming to a Logical Fallacy. Though while I'm here, I may as well ask: How exactly did DNS "hurt the game in a big way?" I understand that what I am doing is a fallacy. About the whole DNS, thing they helped completely destroy the economy of this game, which was in shambles to begin with. They made it so only a small amount of players could enjoy, and I mean enjoy, a feature this game. And, at least during their time, made the game in general unenjoyable.
But, that's only my opinion...

Its still a very good idea to have a mix of candidates. If Dirt Nap is going to be a major player in the control of Molden Heath then by all means their best forerunner should have a fair chance.
Once in the CPM it is important to know that self serving agendas get shot down REAL fast.

really? then explain how kain spero remained a cpm.... he was almost exclusively self serving... still is.... you at least I cant accuse of being so obviously personal agenda driven, even though I think you're just as guilty as most of the cpm for betraying the community, none did it as blatant as kain... |

Well considering every suggestion kain made concerning PC was to break his own corp... if he should be traitor to anything it would be to DNS itself.

You mean all those DNS nerfs weren't enough for your war room antic worthy of an insult group to defeat DNS hmmm...
Also I fought him on every proposal just for the exercise of it and found a few issues every time that forced him to sit down and think about it.

From what I saw he was pushing for the removal of passive ISK, something from which his corporation benefited immensely.
That they continued to abuse it is no stain on his record. I am fully aware, for example, that the CalScout is blatantly OP. Even aside from its potential hitbox issues (which I'm not sold on for the record) its EWAR capability is a bit game breaking. I am of the opinion that it needs a good tweaking.
I skilled it anyway.

I don't pretend to be privy to what went on behind closed doors... but from what I could see, I saw the leader of an alliance taking full advantage of exploitable mechanics whom also was a cpm... that to me looks all kinds of bad.
I saw a guy who was doing an isk transfer system, while knowing dust was getting the ax....
I saw a guy constantly trying to single handedly take credit for work the entire cpm did in some of the ways he would spin his threads....
now I may be wrong about the guy, but in my experience if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....... |

Hah. Looks like another guy who has no idea about specifics about what went down in DNS. One could assume "Oh everyone who was ever in DNS must be some ISK farming scrub"
Have you done research into each corp to see which ones actually even owned land between their times in DNS? Do you even know the story behind why it all went to ****?
Exactly. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

it's true I'm going off appearences, theres no denying all that dns stuff looked bad to an outsider, was all as it seemed? I wont sit here and say it was, but I can only form an opinion off what I see....
if I'm wrong, I'm wrong....all I know is there were many opportunities for kain and dns to be better community members, and they seemed to fall short.
you know there are lots of real world politicians that suffer the same ill fated public approval, because regardless of what they do in private, their public image betrays their true intentions. |

I'm not saying everyone in DNS was an isk farming scrub, I just don't trust anyone that was associated with that organization for obvious reasons. I know "Just because DNS in general was bad doesn't mean everyone in DNS was bad," I get that. I don't need to know why, how, or who, all I NEED to know is that DNS made this game very unenjoyable and I refuse to vote for any candidate that could not help but be a part of said organization.
