Lol, I read the bit in capitals and saw exactly where this was going.
However let me give you example, let's play a special game of rock paper scissors, it's a special version. The first player writes down 3 choices and the second the same.
All choices are revealed simultaneously, and each square off against each other. In the event of a tie, a final round is played like a normal round would.
Now in the case of rock paper scissors, the best option is to play 1x Rock 1x Paper 1x Scissors No matter what your opponent plays, this combination ALWAYS results in a tie.
However, let's change it slightly so that paper no longer beats rocks. Suddenly the best option becomes 3x Rocks, you can never loose if you play that combo.
Now if you 1) Do not understand this anology 2) Do not understand the point
AV vs Tank balancing is not a discussion for you!
My suit's a bit rusty, but that could just as easily be me!

He is saying it's proably Takihiro or Spkr, we've not encountered such terrible logic since those posted 30 posts in each tank thread.

It is not balanced, or fun, to require a team to dedicate 1/4 of its manpower to suppressing one individual. Lets not forget that manpower is only part of the equation. Think in man minutes. Look at ttk. 2 militia players can down a proto player in 2 seconds. Despite his advantage he can be overcome in short time by a realistically sized team. The amount of man time used is 4 seconds. Put another way; a gear advantage can be overcome by numbers yet not restrict the disadvantaged team as little man time is used up. The OP proposes that 4 players take two minutes to kill one player. Thats 8 man minutes on just a single player. In other words : Out of the 240 man minutes in a match. The OP thinks that 3% of the entire teams possible effort should be focused on 1 guy over a whole match. Thats 16% of a full teams time in a game to kill your 4 tankers just once. I hope more people read this. dude it took 4 AV to push me back permanently back. WITH NO DAMAGE MODS OR PROF AND THIS IS JUST OF ADV LVL. imagine what prtoto variant's do with all their damage amps and max prof and stacked numbers for some reason my team gets redline by AV all the time how. Idk xD so I " hope more people read this " You mean proto that has at lowest 1 missile extra damage. At most +15% damage against only 1 damage type.
Or are you saying that these were 4 people using JUST ADV weapons? Because in either case so something on the AV side needs buffing.

WHEN YOU SHOW ME HARD EVIDENCE OF A PROTO PLAYER BEING DOWNED BY TWO MILITAS LEGETLY I WILL BIOMASS MY TANK CHARCTER PERSONALLY.
Let me get my camera, just yesterday I killed a Proto-Caldari with a mlt Scrambler Rifle, it shouldn't be too hard to replicate.

One man vs tank oh since were apply real life into dust514 logic I should be able to kill you all with this huge blaster turrent in one shot right? or kill you instantly with a headshot with any kind of gun hell kill you in a few shots with a AR so lets all start applying real world logic to games now :D No, if we were to apply real logic to DUST 514 then your HAV would require an entire squad just to get it up and moving, and my Swarm Launcher would kill the entire crew and the HAV in one shot, people wouldn't even bother fielding ADSs. Also, the "Huge Blaster Turret", would be replaced with a Cannon, similar to an 80GJ Railgun. Actually the swarm is a light weapon much like the RPG, a tank would just laugh at your swarms much like a current IRL tank laughs off and just sits through RPG rounds. That railgun would also bring down whole buildings and it's "Splash" would be at least 10 times as large as the current railgun.
Since its lock-on it would be more akin to a http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/FGM-148_Javelin This weapon includes a 2-stage warhead specifically for dealing with reactive armour, it requires only 1 man to operate, who is regularly accompanied by a Spotter or ammo bearer.
