The Hit Detection is god awful, this is primarily a reason why scouts are a huge nuisance as they are now. When you couple bad hit detection plus speed PLUS 550+ eHP you're going to have an OP fit.
Fix Brick Tanking among scouts, there's no reason for further analysis. Any sound minded individual knows that Speed + High Damage + High Health among infantry in a game like this is not a good idea. You can have one or the two, not exceed in all of them.
Buff Assaults, because in this ecosystem of scouts, they have no predator in their environment. This is causing them to become invasive. Introducing a Natural predator to the Scouts will result in a more balanced ecosystem.
I'd like that. The two points that should make an assault stand out from a scout is their regen and hp. more health/regen fits in with the assault role nicely, they can hit a position well and keep the momentum of the assault. Maybe another equipment slot to also emphasize versatility but keep the pg/cpu similar, buff it a little so they can actually put something there but not so much that they start encroaching on logistics territory. Good tank, good weapons, decent equipment, good mobility and excellent regen.
scouts get the advantage of speed and ewar and shouldn't be so close to the assault suit and its roles. Instead they should supplement each other.

The slowdown effect has been turned off so now you guys need to aim better than allowing the system to keep said scout in place for you to hose them.

im saveing all my SP for a caldari scout if they don't fix the assault suit in the next patch i leaveing my assault suit which i have been in for my whole dust life.

A friend has said me a solution (I think)
Ban shield extender and armor plates for scouts, and give them +/- 350HP (total) life on the scout fit. Example : - Minmatar : 330HP - Caldari : 340HP - Gallente : 350HP - Amarr : 360HP => they already have enought life for a REAL scout job. I'm a Caldari scout, at the moment, on my proto fit, I've 308HP + 87HP, that's enought... On my Adv, I've +/-265HP shield 87HP armor. That's correct.
Nerf the gallente's passive armor repair. Give the 3HP/s to Assault (Gallente) Give 2HP/s to Gallente Scout

Two things: A. Yes hit detection is terribad, this has nothing to do with the removal of the slow down. When a Caldari scout has no armor left, I empty a full Duvolle clip into him, and not a single shot hits, I think something is wrong here. (And plenty of armor hit sounds)
B. If a scout has even 2/3rd's the HP of an Assault, it's too far. They have complete EWAR and Speed superiority, they can attack whenever they damn please and we can't do anything about it. Range dictation and waiting for the optimal time to strike AND high HP?

And every scout suit has been tweaked.
Can we just remove the Different hitbox sizes on racial scout suits?
There is no need for Amarr, Caldari, Minmatar and Galente to have different sized hitboxes on scout suit anymore.
It would be nice to see them standardized.
And then all the suits hitbox sizes retweaked. Minmatar heavy and assaults get smaller size imo.. But that can be another discussion. Baby steps and start with scouts in a hotfix. |
