No other weapons have that issue. (Kinda defending the bonuses for Amarr Assault, would like to see the other races have racial flavour type bonuses too.) Investigate 9/11

Mate, the rail rifle out ranges the scrambler. That's not to say that the charge shots can't reach out, but dont be fooled into thinking that the rail rifle isn't the longest range assault type rifle. Investigate 9/11

An ADV suit with over 400 armour repping at ~19 HP/s? Not bad, especially when you are using long ranged weapons... like the ones that are buffed by the nice racial bonus. LR, SCR are already deadly, but sustainable damage makes them all the better (especially if you don't have an aim like a pro). The Caldari/Gallente suits are nice in and of themselves, but are held back by lackluster racial bonuses. (that reload bonus on Caldari is boring and overlaps with Commando, don't even try to deny it) The Minmatar assault though, has a terrible suit (bad slot layout, bad shield stats, bad resources...) BUT has a very nice racial bonus. 100 round assault SMG? ~80 round assault CR? Nice. Still, a bad suit is a bad suit, even with a nice bonus. My Amarr alt at least gets the only assault suit that is both decent in and of itself AND has decent bonuses. This account, and my Caldari&Gallente alts are SOL as far as assaults are concerned. I am a minotaur.

But that's just the thing, the other non-laser weapons don't have any interesting mechanics, they are all for the most part very generic weapons in function and only interesting in description/appearance. Or Vast improvements to Racial Bonuses in the form of Survivability (Rep, Regen, etc.) and DPS Bonuses associated with their Racial Variant Weapons. Or Improved Base Stats. More Armor and Shields and better Regeneration Rates associated with the Racial Profiles. Not ALL, or any combination, of them if you're taking notes Mr RatTitty.
