True balance comes from having the same sized kid on both sides of the see-saw, not by placing weights on the light kid.

The Amarr Assault is truly the best designed Weapons System in Dust, the ScR as well as LR are augmented so exponentially on this suit its a thing of beauty. I always shake my head when I see other Amarr Assaults with RRs or CRs, it's absolutely stupid to not fit a ScR or LR on it.
If all the other suits were designed this way we would have such a diverse battlefield, or maybe just everyone in the same suit with the CR cause it's the only weapon ever used in PC ever. Heck I use it.
and now for what morte said maybe..everyone would be in the same suit..but i feel like this is how ccp should go about bringing balance to the rifles and bringing purpose to the assaults...the scr and lr clearly shine and perform above and beyond when coupled with the amar assault..
i feel like if they tryed to..make the other assault have a similar effect when coupled with they're racial rifles..they could easier bring balance.
right now we have one assault thats a specialization suit..
amar armor and lasers then we have these general assault suits..that while they are better than the basic racial frames...they might as well be basic..they do not enhance the assault aspect general assaults and we have an amor assault suit..in the galente the shield in the caldari and the speed in the minnie
now if they made them all specialization suits...suits like logi and scouts and heavies would have a clear disadvantage when running rifles...
right now anysuit using a scr and lr not ona amar assault..is at a clear disadvantage when facing the amar assault..with the ONLY exception being amar commando..and then they both just work better differently
i want the same to be said for the other rifle variants..
i think ccp should figure out where they want the rr and cr/...and then they should nerf them beyond that point and give they're racial suits..bonus's that bring them back up to where they want them to be. ..this also will put the other racial types in the same place vs they're assault version as the amar. in the sense that no suit will be as baddass witha rifle as the assault AS IT SHOULD BE.
the ar should shine above and beyond on the gal assault and gal commando the scr and lr should and do shine on the amar variants the rr ?anysuit doesnt matter the cr? anysuit doesnt matter
sure you will still be able to kill with rr and cr..but it will be like when my logi uses the lr vs my assault...a few deaths vs's a slaying stream..(assault)
all ccp needs to do to fix the assaults is model them after the amarrians. our empress in all her glory may she live forever foresaw that without a bonus directly effecting the performance of the racial weapon..being applied to our assaults..they would become obsolete. none of the assault variants feel like pure slaying fits meant for killing not like the amar scr or amar lr assaults. |

TTK is perfectly fine, CCP Rattari did a nice job so far no joke, the game just go better, some stuff need to be balanced by few now, not by a big marging |

The issue with people feeling they died to quick is more how they die. If the shots that kill you make sense.. and seem player delivered then you accept it usually as your error and mistake and look to improve upon that situation.
Often in DUST the shots that land or kill you make little sense.
Often they can't land a shot then all of a sudden they can't miss.. Have impossible tracking at in your face close fights...can't hit the player in a toe to toe duel but somehow sprays down their full health as they jump over a railing to flee.
This echoes in almost every engagement.. players don't often move to maximize aiming ability because they just don't have to worry about it.
You live when you expect players to have the ability to aim and shoot and then you die frequently when there should be little chance of it.

Those rifle changes are terrible.
Why would you go for a linear progression of DPS vs range when there is charge time, overheat, and semi-automatic natures to consider?

Add getting shot through, around, under and over things that shouldn't be possible, or getting snared, knocked out of a solid escape route or jump, getting grabbed my walls or bumps in the road trying to strafe around a corner...a lot of my deaths have me saying "O.o heh?" Or just outright calling bs. I hope they gut the core of this game for legion and make it start off as a fully playable shooter before they add the accoutrements.

As it is now, the scouts do it better, but if this idea were implemented, I'd bet many of the true slayers would gravitate away from their scout suits to assaults -- as it should be, IMO, and it will lead towards more suit/weapon diversity rather than the scout-heavy squads most prevalent in pubs and seen almost exclusively in PC these days. |

I will check out the Carthum, the Viziam is fun though. Especially with all the CK.O's running around now thanks to the influx of SP. |

I think they should change the entire layout of the dropsuit slots. Allow for more slots to be opened up for the Ewar along with keeping the survivability aspects the same. And give Heavies an equipment slot. They are so big and carry so much ammo, like they couldn't fit a nanohive. Just ranting, I hate running out of forge gun ammo. |
