The "GD'ers are Idiots", is a condescending phrase coined by players in PC who believe that their participation in a game-mode makes them more important than others.
The irony in this phrase, is that PC (and The War Room by extension) doesn't contribute to DUST 514 as a whole in any condition, way, shape, or form; making "GD" far more important than The War Room will ever be.

Cyrius Li-Moody wrote:Atiim its like you're actively ignorant. There's a reason why games like counter-strike are ridiculously well balanced and continue to be popular. I've never played CS, but if I had to guess it would be because of nicely designed game mechanics and because item balance exists at all tiers (does CS have tiers?) and are equally powerful in terms of how they correlate to each-other.

I think your confusing balancing items around each-other with balance around competitive play. The latter, is a myth because item balance is determined by assessing items and how they perform when compared to other items; something which is found irrespective of "play type" (or in DUST 514's case, game-mode )
Though I would love to see an example of how any item in this game was (or could be) "Balanced for PC", but not "Balanced for PUBs". Do you have one by any chance?

Cyrius Li-Moody wrote: Atiim, they literally balance around competitive play/gamemodes. They literally have an active dialogue with their competitive players and teams to balance. It all trickles down.
Would you happen to have a video or audio clip?
I'm not saying your lying, but I'd like to see an example. Though I believe your mistaking "consulting the playerbase" with "balance for 'competitive play'"
Cyrius Li-Moody wrote:If it's balanced in a situation where people play and understand all mechanics practically better than the people who make the game then it's balanced in Pub play where nobody is using teamwork. Except you can't balance around "PUB play" either, as item balance is independent of gamemode. Though I'd really like a actual example of how anything would be balanced for "competitive play" instead of balanced around each other.
Cyrius Li-Moody wrote:It's not rocket science dude. Why are you even arguing with me? Because your saying is that item balance can be determined based on one sole"game-mode", as opposed to how their stats correlate with others; which false.
