Outside the door leading into the PCLAS public relations office stood a man clad in a simple brown cloak, his facial features and form mostly covered by the hood and long cloak. The whole outfit stroke a resemblance to that of typical Amarrian robes, making him appear as another worshiper of the Faith. The man did seem cautious of his surroundings though, constantly checking left, right and behind as people came and went through the office door, seemingly waiting for an opportune moment to step in.
As that opportunity came, when commotion seemed quiet enough, he stepped inside, giving a small yet firm nod to the two guards standing watch. As he was scanned and searched in the security station, an odd metal shard was discovered from his pocket, sharp enough to be used as a weapon. This of course caused trouble when the man refused to give it up for the duration of the visit, insisting it was not a weapon. He understood that concern of the security, but he still insisted on getting it pass through the station, muttering out a near-silent curse to himself. Despite his mild annoyance with the situation, he spoke with a slow and calm voice:
"I need to speak with Kador Ouryon, he'll understand that I am not a threat", he explained to the guards and the person manning the desk near the security station, his hood lowered now to reveal a battered and weary face, that of Denak.
Everything Denak did, good or bad, he did with sincerity until he left. Farewell.

After the Templar came in and told the guards to let Denak through, he gave the hooded Amarr a slight bow of his head to show his gratitude as he went past the guards and into the lobby he was guided. He slipped the odd shard back into his cloak as he took a seat on one of the couches, arms neatly set on his lap as his head turned around to scan his surroundings.
"Some tea would be nice", he half-spoke to himself, pausing for a brief while before his gaze fixated back on the hooded Templar. "If you see Classiarii Ouryon, do tell him I wish to meet him in private", he further requested, as he quietly gestured the person manning the lobby desk, asking him for tea as he set out to wait for Kador to come.
Farewell.

Denak instantly beamed up to a small smile as Kador approached and greeted him, returning it with a slight bow of his head. After the initial greetings were done, he stood up to face the Amarr.
"Namas. It is quite alright, I'm here on a personal visit", he explained, taking another brief scan of the surrounding area, he seemed much more relaxed around his friend. As Kador's eyes scanned Denak, his face seemed different from normal. It seemed older, scarred and less clean looking like a normal clone, and his step seemed to wobble just a bit as he walked. Instead of the detailed ornates of a ceremonial suit, or the utility of his vest and pants, all he wore was a brown cloak covering his body. Despite his minor struggling, Denak remained his calm and composed self, standing up straight as he spoke again.
"I would be fine with refreshments, Mehkios sounds good to me. I was wondering though, do you have some place secluded where we can go? I would like to discuss something in private", he requested, still seeming a little restless despite feeling more relaxed and secure around his friend. He was definitely looking for someone or something, like someone was after him. Underneath the front that was vis calm demeanor, there was a hint of fear, something Denak rarely showed.
Farewell.

With a polite bow of his head Denak greeted Thal after Kador returned from dealing with the drunken intruder, only his stubble bearded and mohawk-shaven head visible from the brown robes covering his body, gazing at the Amarr with his weary green eyes. He didn't stay to chat with the man though as Kador was already leading him to a private room.
When the pair stepped into the office lended to them, Denak instantly took a quick look of the surrounding area, especially the large window in the back with a view outside and the intricate wooden desk placed right in the middle of the space. His hand trailed the wooden surface of the desk after he took a seat by the table across from Kador, sliding his hands down on his lap as to clutch on an imaginary cup of beverage. The added golden glow from the mood lighting done by Kador made the room look even more magnificent.
Denak adjusted his position on his chair before hos gaze was fixated on Kador, taking a quick inhale through his nose before he spoke. Something did seem to trouble his mind, but he avoided talking about it for the time being. He didn't want to spoil the mood.
"I wish I was here for a social call only. My life has undergone some, changes, which may affect you. I felt you would need to be aware of it", Denak began explaining, coughing aprubtly and clearing his throat afterwards. He glanced behind him briefly, to see if their refreshments would be coming soon, before twisting his hesd back to face Kador's, speaking again:
"But I do hope you have been faring well, I have been unable to deploy lately so I don't know of any recent developments. I like your new offices as well, beautifully designed and constructed."
Before he could finish that sentence, a series of knocks came from the door, indicating that a servant was outside. After stepping inside, the servant carried a plate with two cups for tea and a jug of fresh Mehkios tea, as well as an assortment of ingredients to make more if necessary. Denak accepted his own cup with another bow of his head, grasping it with both his hands. He closed his eyes upon taking the first sip for a brief while, not so much to feel the taste but to listen to the barely audible and low hum of the reactors operating deep within the facility.
"It is also good to see you, friend."
Farewell.

((I'm sorry, I've had a serious case of writer's block and procrastination for the past week and been unable to get a reply done. I'll try to post more frequently from now on))

Denak declined the offered snacks with a polite shake of his head, focusing on the hot beverage still in his hands, bowing his head down to take another sip from it. He was just as glad to listen to Kador's own ramblings as he did speaking of his own. But despite it, enjoying Kador's company and exchanging regards, the thoughts in the back of his mind were gnawing away at him slowly.
"I'm glad to have helped. Paperwork can get quite tedious, yes." he said in a dull tone, his eyes fixated to the cup in his hands, his ears listening closely to Kador's words, trying to think of way to frame what he was going to say. With a sharp inhale through his nose to gather his thoughts, he began explaining.
"But, the reason I'm here now is, well, to say goodbye."
The words rolled off his chest with a heavy exhale, pausing for a brief moment before speaking again.
"There's people out there, who want me dead. Permanently. I don't want to tell you more about it, I can't. The point is that, due to this, I have to leave. For good."
Denak cleared his throat and drank from his cup again, to sooth his anxious nerves.
"There's no way I can fight these people, I can only evade them. I've already ditched all my clones, the body you're looking at right now is the one I was born with. I've cut off contact with everyone I knew, and I'm going to be leaving for my hideout, live alone for a while."
After that blurt of an explanation, Denak drank the rest of his tea, carefully setting it down on the office desk. Getting all that off his chest did help out a lot, but in the end he was still saddened by what he had to do.
"I've, already shut down my businesses, given my final goodbyes to others. You are the last one I say goodbye to before I leave. You might not see or hear for years, maybe never again even. So I, wanted to bring you something."
With that, he dug his hands into his robes, digging out for that odd metal shard he had trouble in the security station with earlier. It was a fairly large chunk of tungsten, black and irregularly shaped, the distinct golden color and the smooth patterns could be distinguished underneath the charred surface. It was a shard from the Adamance, Kador's HAV used in Blood Hunt. At the back of the shard was Denak's name, hand-carved with traditional Intaki letters. It may have been just a piece of metal taken from a long gone vehicle, but to Denak it was a symbol for all the things him and Kador had gone through together. He hoped Kador would feel the same way.
"I salvaged it from the wreck in Blood Hunt", was Denak's only explanation for the origins of the shard, feeling it in his hands before placing it across the table right in front of Kador.
Farewell.

Denak looked bothered as he sat there watching Kador visibly fidgeting and struggling with his words in reaction the the sudden heavy load that was dropped on him. The small relic Denak gave him only seemed to make him more stricken by sadness, all making Denak feel bad of himself, about not giving any kind of warning beforehand. He could only sit there and watch, as Kador handled his gift. That piece of seemingly worthless metal, charred black and deformed out of shape, conveyed the deep bond the two shared better than any amount of words ever could have.
Even in a depressing situation like this, Denak still remained within his hardened exterior, sitting up straight on his chair and trying his best not to betray the conflicting thoughts running through his mind. He didn't want to suddenly just leave everything he had known behind and start over, severing all contact. Not again. But what he wanted to do was rarely in line with what he needed to do, and this was no exception. His eyes trailed the numerous golden patterns covering the crimson sash as Kador laid it out on the table before him.
His eyes were unfocused and glassed as his ears were focused on the words Kador spoke, barely paying attention to the stammer and the heaviness of his voice. What he was offered was quite unlike anything else he had ever been offered before.
For a while, Denak remained silent, trying to come up with the best way to convey the inconceivable amount of honor and gratitude he felt right now. Eventually, he answered with four simple words:
"I... would be honored."
The words rolled off his tongue with a deep exhale, darting his gaze all over the room, unsure what to do next. His arm lifted up halfway in an attempt to offer a handshake, but it soon fell back down as he found it inadequate considering the situation. He wasn't going to be seeing him for months, maybe even years. A mere handshake simply wasn't enough.
The contrast between Denak and Kador was very stark. One was a Gallente and the other was an Amarr, the polar opposites of ideologies and moral standards. While one believed in one single universal truth, the other questioned the objectivity of "truth" itself. In battle, one relied on his armor and weapons, while the other relied on his equipment and wits. Despite this, they had more in common than they differed.
Both were devout believers of their own faith, believing in sacrificing oneself for a greater cause. Both were adamant in fighting for their causes at nearly any cost. And most important of all, both were veterans of a group many would consider not human, and neither could ever consider betraying the other. The fact that they had met at a mere coincidence through mutual contacts seemed almost ironic.
Suddenly, and without warning, Denak stood up from his chair. With firm steps he closed the distance between himself and Kador, so he could wrap his arms around the Amarrian's shoulders, hugging him with the kind of fondness and affection a close friend, or a sibling would.
"Thank you", he muttered out, short of any deeper words to say. "For everything."
Denak's calm exterior was slowly beginning to fall apart, all the pain, regret and doubt he had built up over his career pouring out onto the firm hold on Kador. His hold did not last for long though, as moments after he finished speaking Denak took a step back from the Amarr, clearing his throat and exhaling out another sigh.
"We have been through a lot together, and you are the closest thing to a sibling I have ever had. To be written into your history as part of the Ouryon family, I can't begin describing how honored I feel", Denak spoke after a brief pause. His knuckles were pale white from clenching as he continued speaking:
"I want to promise you that we will meet again, but I can not. You and, Satja, you deserve more than a short goodbye, but I can not do that. The conditions bind me."
Shame and regret betrayed his calm and collected look, head drooped down slightly.
"I can promise you one thing. That no matter what, I will remember you. I will do everything in my reach to meet you again some day, even if it takes years."
Denak paused once more to take a deep breath in, before he finished:
"You say you have nothing as meaningful to give. But the fact that you accept a Gallentean into the records of True Amarr and Udor only, is the greatest honor you could ever provide."
After that, another heavy sigh escaped his lips, taking his seat again, running his hand up his scarred cheek and his short hair.
"I still have some time left. If you want, you can holocall Satja, if you want to", his words sounded so fatalistic, as if he was going to die any moment now. With his abandonment of his old life, he may as well have been dead.
Farewell.
