Here's a suggestion for next time. Why not add more impact to these events? Perhaps a little role play element like the Caldari Prime event some time ago. You don't need to alter the maps like you did with Caldari Prime, which was awesome, just put up some contracts in the "Special Contracts" section, give us the accelerated SP when playing in these contracts, and allow us the pick sides where the side with the most victories in the end makes some achievement in canon which is documented on say a quick article in the EVE World News. Or maybe once you fix FW by increasing LP payouts and removing the ISK payment from loyalty goods (since there won't be a player market in Dust) you can do an event where whichever faction in FW gets the most wins makes some achievement in canon and give the accelerated SP when playing in FW contracts. Just some thoughts to make these events more interesting especially for your long time players who don't exactly get very excited with just plain old SP.

I'd actually asked about this sort of thing at Fanfest. Here's the general gist of how that conversation went. Caldari Prime took about nine months worth of planning and effort from both the Dust 514 and Eve Online teams. Severely doubt we'll ever get anything along those lines in Dust 514 again. Lot of the Lore/Community team is no longer with CCP, so can't expect much lore based stuff either, but to that extent when I asked this at fanfest Eterne had said that it's more of an issue of repetition and watering down the aspect of the lore itself - eventually it just sounds like Mordu/the Factions can't handle their own problems and are constantly offloading work to these clone mercenaries that they apparently hate so much. This isn't to say that we can't or shouldn't have lore-based events, but considering recent circumstances, I wouldn't get my hopes up Useful Links Aeon Amadi for CPM1

These events benefit all players (well, active ones anyway), unlike some of the other events which favor certain classes or roles (e.g., heavies, tankers, scouts).
