The man that taught me how to run a logi (correctly) goes to: Zapp BRANNIGAN sr I would slay/snipe in a caldari logi for a LONG time until he convinced me to skill into rep tools. Stepping into that allowed me to tap on SP every week, even if I could only play for a couple days of that week (I work a lot). I still run with him when he's on. He's the best heavy I know that takes care of his logis. Rep him and run proto. You won't lose that suit unless you guys get an OB put on your head. o/ Zapp (He's also the BEST scrub I know:)
Who taught me how to slay properly, and keep myself alive: Nyain Running with these guys helped me round out my edges as a slayer. I've learned so much from them. I'll never leave Nyain o/ Special shout outs to the guys who believed in me: Brutal BRUTAS, HC RSOL, and my friend, bear90211.

Aw well I exaggerated on Zapp's ability to keep logis alive but, when I need some ISK bad I know I'll profit repping him match after match.

I have multiple people to thank.
superjoe360x, from D.A.R.K L.E.G.I.O.N taught me little tips and tricks I still use today.
John ShepardIII, from G0DS AM0NG MEN taught me how to strafe more effectively.
CL0AK W0LF R1D3R, from SVER True Blood taught me how to tank better in PC.
Many more people helped, but these are the ones I remember the most.

No one really taught me how to play, but I was more on the even field when open beta started, so I didn't have much to worry about.
I would say all the stompings' I have been through, and playing prior games such as Metal Gear Online 2 helped develop a good chunk of situational awareness and somewhat of a map control strategy.

Shyeer Alvarin I suppose taught me the basics of the game and introduced me to New Eden and what kind of galaxy it was. He I suppose was my gateway to PIE Inc.
But apart from that no one taught me to Amarr Assault or Drive Tanks.
Aero did teach me how to Commando though and by that I mean he told me to stop thinking like an Assault and stick to my ranges. Beyond that I was already proficient with Laser Rifles, AScR, ScR, and Heavy Frame suits.

^ 1/2 true. Yes :) Zapp is a rude person, it's part of his scrubiness. "logi for hire" is wrong. His logis (including me) have been running with him for months. Zapp discovers potential logis and grows/mentors them. I started running with Zapp back in January (6 months ago) and he's the the reason I'm where I am now. The roads eventually led me to Nyain :)

Well, the majority of my DUST career has been a series of running around following people and watching what they did, even going afk just following people around and watching what went on in the battlefield. Going with the "flow". LOLOLOL
I'll keep those names under wraps, but to sum it up anyone I thought to have any remote shred of intelligence I watched like a hawk.
xSaphir3 and Metr0 the Destroyer deserve all the credit.
Kalante Schiffer is the one person I have the best synergy/cohesion with in-game. Lightning XVX, a person I have massive respect for, shared his tactics with me. DJINN Rampage taught me everything I know about strafing.
xSaphir3 is my mentor though, as well as Metr0 the destroyer. :3 They are the only two people in this game I would listen to without question.
Oh, and me. The majority of it was really me.
