Sorry for a stupid question... So I know that right now the Rail Rifle and especially the combat rifle are the best guns. But I don't want to use the combat because everyone uses the combat. And the Rail Rifle just "sounds" weird. So I was looking at the GLU- 5 Tactical AR, and the CRD-9 Assault Scrambler Rifle...
Which one should I go with? Btw, I don't have a lot of experience, just broke 1 milliion lifetime a little while ago. So I can only choose one.
From what I've heard the Assault Rifles aren't doing too great right now (but both AR and ScR are shield weapons, sooo...)
Anyways, the Tac AR does more damage per shot Tac AR 60. 5 AScR 34.10
but the AScR has a faster Rate of Fire and is more accurate (whatever that means). Also the Tac has a small clip (18 shots compared to 72). So, I've done a little research but not enough to figure out which is better because I can't use them. (T_T)
So, which do you think is the better rifle for flanking and/ or providing cover fire (I don't do well solo regardless of the gun). Anyways, thanks for any advice.
btw, my fit right now:
Standard Cal Scout
Enhanced Shield Extender x 2 militia precision enhancer
militia armor repair
militia nano-injector militia repair gun
Usually alternate between standard Rail Rifle or Breach Assault Rifle. (o_O)
Anyways thanks again for reading this. |

sorry for double posting. (T_T) but I guess I would be willing to try the Assault RR too... |

MINA Longstrike wrote:Honestly, try the regular scrambler rifle, it has a charge feature (for 3x damage), it fires very quickly (even though it's semi-auto) and it's pretty accurate. It's only a little bit shorter range than the rail rifle too. There's a militia variant for you to try on the marketplace too. I keep overheating it and killing myself. T-T |

Uhm... ok. (._. ;) I didn't really get an answer over which gun was better. But I'm glad that the Scrambler and Laser are both militia weapons so I can practice with them. They became militia about the time I started, so maybe it's fate.
Uhm... I guess I can practice timing my shooting so I don't kill myself with the scrambler. And I can practice preheating with the laser rifle...
(T-T) These aren't really beginner-friendly weapons, though. But thank you for the recommendations. |

John Demonsbane wrote:Oh, right. Your original question, lol. Well, I don't know that a semi-auto weapon like the TAR is ideal for suppressive fire, but it is good for flanking and rear support. AScR is better for suppressive fire due to the high ROF, and if they ever make it so that shield tanking is more viable, it will be a great weapon again, it used to be my main choice back before even scouts had 500 armor. Hmm.... What I can do is practice with the Scrambler to see if I like it. If it ever turns out to be the rifle for me, I'll eventually get the AScR. But if it ends up not working, then I could go to the TAR since I already have AR lvl 2. I'll have to wait to see if my playing style changes by the time I'm ready to pick a weapon too, because they both sound like they act very differently. Thank you for the advice. |
