The only way this will ever change is if PC is changed to corp members only in a corp pc battle. However then people will just jump into the corp for the upcoming battle and then leave afterwards, so I am not really sure what can be done. I don't know what can be done about it but I disagree. Any tournament or team contest I can think of has one team playing another, not the same best guys eliminating all other teams. The NBA finals would be pretty boring if every time ere was a game the best players in the game always played for the same side. You can ask what is the purpose of an alliance if they don't help, but I'll ask what is the purpose of a corp if they don't fight tbemselves.

This is New Eden man, we are mercenaries, we fight for money, for glory, and for recognition. Teams mean very little, they are corporations. And when you got the isk you can purchase who you want. My price is 3 mil per match. 
So why have corporations if they don't function like teams? Ringers should act like specialists, consultants or temp help, not babysitters for another corporation.

They're the best players around put on one team. Same concept.
How many allstar games are there? Not every other game, not in tournaments, not ever except as a sideshow.
