With this event especially, it's becoming a huge issue when people leave the battle as soon as it's apparent they won't be able to farm kills.
Over half my battles today are ones I've joined past the halfway point of the battle.
To deal with this, I propose the solution of bringing things back to how they used to be: if you leave the battle before it ends, you don't get any ISK or SP from it.
People shouldn't be rewarded for ******* up the matchmaking.

I'm suspecting it's more of proto users who want an easy fight for the event

They did, you just missed the dropship battle at the start of the match.

As easy as they can with a plasma cannon.
And for the record, you should stay out of dom if you're looking for swarm kills.

You've got some the best players left in the game trying to stomp with their favorite guns. I've fought xDestruciton in Domination with Combat Rifles. I've fought Kaltos Demonsbane with his Proto HMG today as well. Devin Xer was running around with an ScR. I've been having a blast 
I'm having very very few kickass fights, but mostly fights where the person with the bigger horde backing them up wins.
