This game needs a game mode that is fricken fresh and not completely hogwash because of vehicle spammage / run of the mill tactics.
Currently, in Ambush, the only way to win is via clones. In skirmish and Domination, there are two ways to win: MCC destruction &/or clones. What about a game mode with 3 ways to win?
Let's talk about a 3rd dimensional game mode that has 3 points of interest: Clones, MCC, and VIP
Setup: Two corporations wage battle over a contested area for Very Important Property, i.e. data.
Let's say you have points A, B, & C. Team 1 wants to acquire the intel at point A and retrieve it to point B. Team 2 wants to retrieve data at Point A and bring it to Point C. At the same time Points C, D, & E are Null cannon points that barrage MCCs. Lets say Point A offers up 6 caches worth of data thus there are thus if one team acquires 4 pieces of intel before MCC is destroyed or cloned they win.
Ok so now we have a simple one flag game where the MCC, the Clones, & the data are all viable methods of winning and also methods that must be prevented.
The two dimensional and one dimensional game modes we currently have and promote new tactics as well as exercising the current terrirory/death count strategies already in play.
What's your 3 dimensional game mode? How could the sample given be improved? ISK? Reward? What kind of team play should be emphasized? Etc. with your feedback please.

I think this is a good idea, I have heard many ideas for new modes throughout my time in dust. many good ones.
ccp has never even seemed to entertain the notion, and now with this game's death fast approaching, I can only imagine any new modes would go to legion (if that gets green lit).
it is so sad... this game, eve, the new eden universe has so much potential, and its in the hands of amateurs.... |

I saw someone post an interesting game mode suggestion recently, which could probably be implemented without vary many Client side changes.
- 3 point maps. - Defenders hold the points at the start of the game, and can spawn at the points. - Attackers spawn in the Red Line at the beginning of the game and canGÇÖt spawn on the points even when hacked. - If the attackers take all three points and hold them for 60 seconds they win. - If the attackers fail to win in 15 minutes the defenders win.
Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the guy who came up with it.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

There are plenty of games before this that have CTF, Deliver the Bomb, King of the Hill, Juggernaut, etc. and right now all we have are Territories, Deathmatch, and King of the Hill. We really need some damn fresh stuff because territories and king of the hill are practically the same and deathmatch is just cookie cutter.

I'm looking for something less vanilla. Something that adds a variable and thus offers more ways to win and thus lose. Another objective to mentally keep track of.
