That actually seems to be the case with most FPS games, perhaps because COD and BF did the "unlock sights" thing so everyone just assumes iron sights are bad and scopes and reflexes are better. Personally, I hated the iron sight, I thought it got in the way and obscured my view too much. The current sight is fine but I guess I probably liked the old one from the vid more, it's been so long it's hard to say! (The godfather of tactical logistics)

(the swarmer got killed, so the maddie would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids...) I can only imagine the look on the tankers face when he saw it was an Assault A/1 with an ELM-7 that killed him. Most satisfying tank kill ever. (The godfather of tactical logistics)
