Okay, I'll keep this short. Are shield regulators worth it? I'm pretty sure they recently got a buff, and I've been thinking of skilling into them for a long time, but seeing as I could only make use of them on my Minmatar scout, I'm not sure if the million SP investment is worth it. I like the idea of having nearly instantaneous shield regeneration, but I'm not certain if 343 shielding would be able to effectively use them. Add that on to the fact that I'd be giving up all E-War (is it E-War or E-Ware? >.> ) capabilities for this... yea... just trying to sort some things out.
Why aren't their sidearms in the list of the new event? CCP, you make me sad sometimes.
If I do go with shield regulators, are regs and rechargers on a Min assault viable?
And... I think my corp is finally dead. The CEO left and I never see anyone on anymore, so I may start looking for a new corp soon if I can't get a reply on that. How's that recruitment thread working out for people? Is it better to go there, or just post in the GD?
Pizza or tacos?

Unfortunately, some form of armor repair is always necessary, but if you have any spare low slots, shield reg the **** out of them if you're in combat alot.

I'll message you in-game (not on this character). We need more scouts.
Yeah they more than doubled regulator's power. Not sure what exactly they did with rechargers but they have also been buffed and I think extender penalty to regen was reduced, along with a buff to basic and advanced extenders.
Unfortunately you only get two low slots, so I'd fit an armor rep because reactive plate would be useless if you're going for shield tanking. Then just go with probably 2 extenders, 1 energizer, and 2 light mods for your combat rifle. Maybe take a damage mod off for another extender. |

Enhanced regs with an enhanced energizer on a cal scout is literally insane. I wish I didn't spec out of cal assault. It would've been deadly.

i'm sure you can manage but i've checked the numbers before I skilled into Gallogi
Gallente mediums get better tanking ability & if you fit enough armor reps the regen ability is almost as good
also I was playing around with the Frontline Caldari and I realized the reload speed bonus only saves you a second and a half. Not a huge deal in my opinion. |

I think so, back in the day scouts with shield regs were feared, unfortunately I doubt that min scout will fit (pg) the reg, a complex reactive and a speed mod knives a gun a cloak and 3 shields, I would mess with proto fits first but on the min assault I would use the 4 shields a energizer, a reg and a reactive plate for sure.
I've speced mine up for my cal scout and it's pretty awesome but if you can fit it the min scout should be awesome Its amazing having fast regen , I think the regs are better than the rechargers I've done some serious shot gunning with regs even on a gal scout, with armor reps and back to full health instantly and witha min the 3 lows is great it's just fitting that suit is brutal but they say they'll buff it.
My cal scout is :
3 comp shields Enh energizer Comp reg And a reactive Shields come back in 3 sec and the recharge is 80 hp a sec I even have another with 300 shields and the recharge at 114 sec I think.
But for you a recharger is useless on the min scout you'll only have 270 shields, the assault cool but regulators make it return faster, so if you can fit some form of armor rep, two regs or one and a speed mod, you'll really SUPRISE someone chasing you for the easy kill when they catch you and your standing there full HP within 5 sec

Shield regulators make me sad. The shields in this game just don't seem to cut it unless you have a massive amount. Armor lasts longer.
The dead corp is a sad thing. Prepare to be attacked by recruiters in the corp recruitment section. While I'm technically a recruiter, I'll leave you to decide where to look and leave it for the appropriate section of the forum. I notice more people seem to be recruited in squad finder in game.
Also, taco's.

A complex shield regulator is good on any shield based suit.

^ what he said, shields drop so fast which makes regulators more viable than rechargers, personally I'm gonna level energizers to 5 anyway out of curiosity to the efficiency bonus

My Minmatar assault begins to be on par with a CalAssault using a Enhanced Recharger and Enhanced Regulator.
That being said, i love my HardMode

I get that a lot. Shield is actually spelled with two I's in this case, because apparently I wasn't the first one to use the name, so I just used a capitalized I in place of the lower case L. >.< I think it's why I don't get more messages. DX

regs are for assaults cal and min. don't put them on a scout stay with speed or E-war mods. apply to KILL-EM-QUICK if your looking for an active corp. good luck on your travels.

seems like decent place to ask.. anybody like the regulators on the calsent?
at the moment i use complex reactives due to the armor pool being low, and the need for some armor rep. can't quite bring my self to lose the extra hp for the lower charge pause.
not because of ehp stack but because once the shields break, if it has low armor it's almost insta kill, so what use is a regulator? |
