Why is Caldari scout the only dropsuit in the game with reasonable scan precision? That's like saying that only Gallente heavies can carry HMGs.
The offensive side of ewar is pathetic leaving me only one racial dropsuit to chose from. That's bunk.
We know that the entire ewar scheme is shite anyway, but would it hurt to give scan precision bonuses to other dropsuit skills or buff the precision enhancer modules?

I set up an alt a long time ago and specced into Caldari scout. When I use it, TACNET is actually useful. Why is there only one single dropsuit in the entire game where using TACNET is effective?

The BASE scan precision on scouts beats out all but scout profiles.
If you want to see scouts too, put on a precision enhancer.
What, do you want free 360 24/7 wallhack?

My good logi suit has a single precision enhancer on it, I see all but the best fit scouts with it. For times I think those are around I have a scanner.
The tools are available, use them. |

I was actually quite happy with my Gallente scout running a full ewar fit until CCP nerfed it. 1% bonus per level on the Gallente scout is laughable.

So why is the CalScout so dramatically, untouchably better than any other suit at this?
I feel like it'd be better if it was balanced around slots rather than bonuses. Make EWAR a factor of slot layout and frame size.
Gal would still be the best dampener (though tied with Amarr) and Cal would still have the best wallhax, but a PRO MinScout would have the same potential for scans as a STD CalScout, where currently he's not got a hope.

I am quite proficient at ewar and have used sundry combinations of enhancers, etc. What I don't get is why the game was designed for a single suit to dominate this one area. Why not sprinkle some joy around to other various suits as well?

I like to run my cal logi suit with x3 proto precision enhancers. You can still get decent tank on it, all proto equipment and your precision is ~24db, allowing you to pick up proto scouts running x1 complex damps. It makes the heavy you're repping that much more dangerous without impacting your efficiency as a logi by much.

U can fit scan modules to it.....just like minmatar scouts hack faster but other scouts can fit modules
