That, or the fact that they seem to just 'know' when their hit detection is working, and then run 450 shield calscouts...(my Min Assault can barely hit 560... Yet they have double my regen, better speed, innate scans, innate dampening, and insane shield delays.) a Calscout is 95% better than a Minmatar Assault. Use a lazor rifle, ScR, AScR, AR, SG or flux and many of your cal scout issues will be solved. It amazes me how many people refuse to put down their CR or RR yet still complain they can't kill cal scouts. 4 out of 6 rifles are shield bonused yet so many players refuse to put down the armor bonused guns. Adapt or die idiots.
That is crazy talk right there. How can you expect people to play without a RR on their basic heavy frame?
I'm also pretty sure the Gallente scout is limited to only fitting shotguns and CR's. It's an odd mechanic, but, you know, CCP...

I have never been afraid of anything in this game. Initially, I was super pissed off because I didn't know what the hell was going on, where that shot came from, what was that thunderous beam coming down out of the sky, how was I supposed to get anything done with snipers taking me out every time I run between cover, why I took so much damage falling off of a 1 story building, etc.
There will always be surprising deaths in this game, and it was shortly after I started playing that I learned sometimes you can't to a damn thing about it.
I can see why the immense frustrations and obstacles would lead to a state of paranoia or exacerbated fear levels or even PTSD. For me, I simply developed an attitude of nonchalance which gets me killed more often, but who cares.
Unless you are talking about being scared as a synonym for avoiding certain situations. In which case, I would respond that everything in the game has some weakness and that the player would do well to avoid those situations if they want to live. There is something to be said for using your brain, staying out of trouble and leveraging your strengths. Dear god you're a boring sort aren't you?
He also has it backwards, but I think anxiety is a better term for what you feel playing video games (except maybe silent hill I guess) anyway.
He does have an (overly long) point though, random sh!t is always going to kill you in Dust, best not to stress about it overmuch. It is just a game.

OP FOTM wrote:Well, the thing is you'd have to use a Tac AR especially now that they nerfed the range, if you wanted to counter a Calamari without being scanned first.
I don't really have the time or patience to skill into the lasers when I already have a plasma rifle.
Well there's your problem.
I'll just leave this here.
