Hello,
Why doesn't CCP do some aggressive marketing based on vanity items. Color schemes on different suits and vehicles is not that difficult hence CCP can capitalize on the sale of these vanity items. Is this not possible??
Where are these vehicle skin variants? I believe that if the pack where put in game it would create some sort of revenue...

Yes and no... I hope they at least do something for legion. Vanity is something that creates a lot of revenue for FTP games and CCP did not use this to their advantage

Don't think it is possible since their whole dev is now on legion. They are just hotfixing stuff at this point and new variants would need a client patch, as rattati said somewhere.

I'm actually not sure. When They showed legion off it looked like they used most of the art assets from dust. Couple this with the fact that they are using unreal engine and you might say that DUST and LEGION share the same art assets as is. This makes me believe that there is a possibility for them to do a suit in dust or legion and they still being applicaple to both.
As for client patch That may be the reason

For someone who has been around since before the release of Dust on the PS3, I'm surprised you don't remember what happened the last time CCP did aggressive marketing. It failed... royally.
CCP advertised a lot of things that were expected to be in Dust 514 only to then go back on their word months later during release which resulted in an unfinished and hastily-put-together game that immediately received terrible reviews from almost every community known to man while CCP scrambled to spend a good part of their development resources fixing a game that should've been corrected before launch. Because of that, many players feel that CCP misled them with false advertisement which had only gotten worse shortly after Fanfest 2014.
Given what has happened recently, aggressively marketing Legion before it's even fully ready this time especially after the failure that is Dust 514 will be a very bad idea. Legion hasn't even gotten the green light yet. It's still a prototype.
I say don't aggressively market the game. Not yet at least. Wait until it has ALL of the core features ready.
Secondary Market All racial weapons and vehicles An Open World option to keep with the promise of the MMO aspect of this FPS. Stable gameplay Overhauled NPE Introduce PvE (hello drones!) Overhauled Academy Salvage System Better connectivity with the Eve players
On Twitter: @HilmarVeigar #greenlightlegion #dust514 players are waiting.

By aggressive marketing i mean more packs and vanity options, not promises. Those were promises and that is far from what i am asking so please stay on topic. There is no need to flog a dead horse. We all know what happened and we allknow thats not what i am asking.
Another point: those vehicle color schemes seem to be rendered and done already so iam sure the art assests exist right now and if they so chose to, they could release a pack with different skins

If I were to pay RL money for vanity items, I want them to be fabulous and worth the monet. Screw boring skins, I want neon blue laser beams, holographic back banners with my corp logo on my heavy suit, green engine trails on my dropship and custom blowy nano hive effects.
And I want everyone in the battle to see them.
I mean, take a look at the things you get for cash in other games (oh wow frozen glowing footsteps sploosh)
