I miss the MAG forums QQ, too much carebear and crybaby stuff going on here. And everytime the grownups tries to have a decent conversation we have to endure these, well, scrubs.
KDR is very important, but only if you play for the win and push objectives. Anyone can be a perifferee hero in this game. Its just laughable seing a lot of players playing defensively with what I call "cheap EZ-mode tactics" and still they think they're good for having a 2.2 KDR in the worlds least competative FPS.... |

Can you get your job done? That's all the matters. what job is that? Whatever job you ask the contracted mercenary to achieve. Frankly if I was every to hire out players for a some reason it would be to achieve a specific goal. I would establish that before the contract, and interview potential applicants to determine which could best achieve the goal. In that sense having high KDR means nothing if you can't get to the objective and fulfil your role. If you don't achieve the goal you don't get paid for it. Additionally under most circumstance if I don't know that's players abilities how do I know how to best use them? Having a higher KDR means that you are killing more than you are dying.....it is safe to assume that you may be alive long enough to reach the objective. If you can't stay alive, it is much harder to cap and hold objectives, correct? Yes and no. All a high KDR tells me is that you have a great deal of kills for few deaths. For all I know you are just as bad as Duna running against pubbies padding that KDR for your own vanity. That vanity means nothing to me. I expect a Player I hire to die as many times as required to achieve their goal. Survival rates are inconsequential before results (ala Imperial Guard Mob and Charge).
Well, untill you get cloned that is....
I like this part of Dust, throwing bodies at an objective is far from enough and hardly a viable tactic in the long run.... |

EZ Cheap mode? Like running a whole squad of proto in pubs? Or how about joining DNS.and you all blueing up so you dont have to fight? Is that ez cheap mode?
First off, forget about the "running proto" side off things, my main doesn't have a single fitting that isn't proto, we use the stuff we have unlocked, we have more isk than we can possibly spend and this is without ever having a single district for more than a week.
And in case you numnuts haven't gotten it yet, the whole point of DNS was to force CCP to get rid of passive isk generation from holding districts, did we manage to do that? Yes we did. (And yes, we still have DNS tags due to some technical problems...)
Its like talking to children, you have to speak at a lower level....
"Cheap EZ-mode" is when someone jumps out of a LAV with a HMG fatty, kills whoever is there and speeds off again as soon as someone fires at him. Its when Taka and his girlfriend stays on or close to the redline the entire game in their tanks not caring the slightest if they win or lose. Its all those morons who spend most of their games sitting on top of a rooftop. Its all the bastards in the redline with a sniper. In short, anyone who cares more for boosting their stats than actually getting in there and flipping those objectives.... |

And then lets not forget how many of you boost on Oceania or some such server. Its been recorded a thousand times.
I have no idea what that even means, I've never played a game on that server, is it easier there or something? How do you "boost" there? What dies "boosting" even mean in a game like Dust? |

For instance in chrom I was learning to fly dropships and only had money to buy dropships so I would use starter fit logi to pay the bills. Needless to say I died a lot, even though I can go whole games without being killed now or only getting killed a few times my kdr is only 2.69 Mine is 2.53 and I will have 40+ kill games, or matches where I only get 5 kills but every one of those was an HAV..... other times I'll walk into Nyain San Pub stomps, or end up throwing away 10+ suits to ensure in FW we win the crucial district.

Yes Im an idiot, which is why DNS Black was on pod cast he said the point of DNS.was to take over Molden Heath and then create a tournament system that dns would then administrate, furthermore the gamimg company that agreed to manage this system subsequently backed out on DNS during this same pod cast once she found out the true nature of how dns would gain control. 2 weeks later dns dissolved. Perhaps you need to find out what you are truly part of, with all the ulterior motives, hidden agendas and ultimate goals rather than simply being a talking head in grouo of people you dont really know. Let me know if you would like that pod cast link.
Do you really expect me to care that much?
We mostly did it for the ISK, and the chance to rid MH of passive isk farming, (mostly casue we didn't get it ourselves...) both objectives reached...

Lol first you said it was to stop passive isk gain.... 2 things are clear 1 you dont knkw what you are talking about and 2 you will lie. You didnt do anything except what you were told. Just like FA was told after their surrender and entry into DNS that they couldnt hold districts, and they did what they were told. If you domt know what you are talking about, and I venture to say you dont even know who the hell Black is, then please just stfu?
Well first off, I've never cared for the EVE side of it all, thats why we're still in DNS after all this time. We haven't gotten around to leave EVE side yet which means our Dust corp still is in DNS. At the time, entering DNS was merely a practical matter so they didn't have to put details of all those CB's in multiple channels.
I haven't lied, we did set out to stop passive isk farming, that part was clear from the start, it was Kain's baby and we agreed, and we did earn a lot of isk doing so, which was a neccissary incentive. So tell me what lie I told, I'm curious.
Do you seriously think that Black or even Kain where the one's making it all possible? Really? Tells me how little you know.
Do you know how many isk a week FA got for not holding any districts? Or indeed, how many isk we in TRE got for the same?
Most of DNS couldn't give a rats arse about Black, its merely a name, and a dude most of us either laughed at or couldn't care less about....
