Looking at employee review's for CCP, it looks like they have a great company that is managed poorly.
It seems to be showing with all the product's we are being delivered to by CCP, with big names like Star Citizen and Elite:Dangerous and Destiny around the corners. Are CCP even prepared for competition? are they even prepared and have plans moving forward to stay competitive in the industry's they helped pioneer?
Seems CCP has the structure in place but not the leadership to do it. |

This must be the third thread of its kind. You're late.

You really are jumping on that band wagon a bit late but nice find I had not seen that link yet.
It was really clear to me from the first fanfest (or maybe it was eve vegas) that I watched just after starting the game at Uprising that there was some leadership issues. The NDA that they bind everyone too and then turn around and make wild promises that they really have no plan in place on how to execute is the worst part in my opinion.
Aside from weathermen I do not think there is anyone that can repeatedly be so far off with their statements and keep their job.

Well played, but atleast they dance around the story, spin it, and try to cover up their bullshit.

I work as a modeller in the industry making assets for production ( films like Underworld, games and tv ). These reviews are spot on. It seems every exec, manager and coordinator in the industry thinks they are artists because they work in a creative environment. I've seen execs overturn design choices by an art director from DISNEY. Management needs to realize they are there to manage time/cost, not artistic direction and vision.
Because the high end 3d industry is so new it is plagued by people who have no training in artistic endeavours, making calls they shouldn't. They base everything on media paradigms they don't fully understand, and use buzz words to explain their lack of insight.
EVERY 3d company is like this. Until they fade away and the true visionaries take hold of the reigns, nothing will change.

Problem is I can merely look up quite a few companies with similar reviews, its an industry wide plague.
Inversely kickstarters and indies are also proving the opposite, artists and programmers don't have the experiences in managing companies. At worst they barrow their previous horrible experiences as a guide to running such...
