Origin Minmatar, Sebiestor tribe, but my family never joined the Minmatar Republic; they basically were nomadic merchants. At some point my parents settled in the Gallente Federation, and that is where I was born. We weren't very traditional in our practices and beliefs, except when it came to tattoos (tattoos were always important), and we still supported the Republic in the ways that we could.
I was very philosophical and political. I joined the Gallente military at some point because at the time they seemed like the most powerful chance New Eden has for humanity's freedom; I don't believe in democracy (glorified popularity contest), I believe in meritocracy (not the Caldari profiteering kind), but I DO believe in the personal freedom that both the Minmatar and Gallente strive for. Thinking back on it, I have no idea how I got the courage to join, I very much value my life, and I could never come to terms with the idea that I might really die one day. I was never really a good soldier, I basically just hung out with hookers (who I respect, hookers are nice people), seriously they are fun conversationalists, especially when getting high.
Eventually I got out of the military, and this mercenary corporation with sleeper immortality-implant tech was recruiting ex-soldiers, and I joined in for the immortality (I reeeeaaaaally like being alive). Eventually I left, and found other mercs I like hanging out and shooting people in the face with. I fight for the Minmatar and Gallente in faction warfare, but usually I fight for random corps since FW contracts take forever to find, and rewards are crap.
You may find this part veeeery morally questionable I have been the member of a Minmatar liberation effort in which dedicated immortal mercenaries, and the project was of a ethically questionable nature, CONCORD labelled us as "terrorists" because we were willing to do what needed to be done. We would select an Amarr planet with a slave population, get the genetic code of a dead but unreported Amarr citizens from the weapons manufacturing sectors (usually our agents kill them and get rid of the evidence), and that DNA would be the basis for creating a clone of for one of our mercenaries to have as their body. Using the new body and identity with access to weapons manufacturing sites allowed our mercenaries to both infiltrate Amarr society, AND get our hands on shiny golden dropsuits and guns to carry out attacks. The deal to the holders (slave owners) was this: surrender us your slaves, or lots and lots of people die. The freed slaves would then be flown off word in stealth dropships, and be provided with vitoc antidotes if needed.
We had some minor success (though we had attack the holders since they usually didn't care with what happened to common people we executed), but ultimately the project failed because of 3 reasons. The first reason is the level of dedication it required. The second reason is that the mercs who volunteered would need to have skills needed in using Amarr dropsuits and weaponry, since that is the only kind of gear we find on an Amarr colony (usually Minmatar loyalists don't skill into Amarr stuff). The third reason was just fear, no one wanted to be associated with a supposed "terrorist" organizattion wanted by CONCORD's Directive Enforcement Department; sure we killed a bunch of innocent people, but... you know, was for a good-ish reason. Sure ideally I don't want to kill people, but sometimes its required, and I'm willing to do more than most in this department; killing people for living like its a game really does change your perspective a bit.
Am I crazy? I would say I'm just a little "different", or "eccentric" I should probably mention that my love for life has led to a very interesting... condition. Because I value living so much, each time I die, I cannot help be overcome by intense fear and desire to live; as if the primal sections of my mind do not remember that I will be simply reborn anew. When I do wake up in a new clone, I get filled with uncontrollable joy and exhilaration as I realize I realize I get to live. I am addicted to the thrill of rebirth that comes from mercenary life, and that is the main reason I still fight as a mercenary despite having the money to simply retire to a wealthy life of privilege in the Federation; the Federation's Black Eagles are looking for me since I am a wanted "criminal", but I can just get any new identity I want with a designer clone.

Out of character:
Anywaaaaay, I'm a MAG vet who saw some promises about Dust 514 back in 2009. Such promises included 64 player battles (lol), commander position (lol), deployable installations (lol), being able to shoot back at EVE ships (lol), 8 vehicle types at launch (lol).
I love large scale shooters, I love complex and interesting game modes (original Skirmish 1.0, first saw it at Fanfest 2012), I love scifi, and I love high time-to-kill shooters; Dust 514 seemed like a dream, sadly one I have yet to see realized. Fanfest 2012 talked about so many many cool things that got my hopes up, exotic planet types (like lava), MTACs (mechs), all of which were never delivered.
I kept up with all the news and changes with the game, I knew about the market, fittings, etc before I even got in beta.
Got in closed beta, played as basically assault and logi, usually with just a modified starter fit despite knowing perfectly well that I can buy new suits and make new fits; usually on the financially prudent side.
I stopped playing with this character once we got racial merc quarters, and made a new character to play with (just called KAGEHOSHI) for the Gallente merc quarters.
Was a member of Seraphim Initiative since before I got in the beta and before there was an even player-corp system, "joined" back on this old Dust 514 fansite after I saw a recruitment thread. I was never really active with them since I was pretty much a loner.
While I mainly used the AR, I always found it boring, and hoped that the upcoming weapons (at the time the mass driver, and laser rifle) would provide me with a more exotic yet still general purpose solution. Neither MD or LR was what I wanted, though during/after this "tester tournament" art of new assets were revealed, and among them was the scrambler rifle (look at it); so golden and exotic, I had no idea what it was meant to be, but I hoped it was some sort of mid-range weapon and not a sniper rifle. When it finally came out of May 14, 2013, I skilled into it. Took me a long while to get good with the regular scrambler rifle, and until then I used the assault variant.
SI pretty much owned planetary conquest until they got sick of it and the leader basically said "screw it", and SI fell apart and then got rebuilt again in some weird way; I didn't want to be a part so I left.
Eventually I made like a loooots of alts to test out new playstyles, suits, and weapons. I eventually created the corp "Dominion of the Supreme Emperor God-King KAGEHOSHI" as basically a bank to tax myself and redistribute ISK between alts; skill books are expensive. I have been in this bank corp until I started getting social and friendly with a lot of great people on Skype (Aeon Amadi, Cat Merc, Arkena Wyrnspire, Mobius Wyvern, virgindestroyer7, tons of others).
My hopes regarding CCP's promises has been gradually withered down from a mountain to a rock, and that rock was nuked from orbit by Fanfest 2014. I do hope Legion succeeds in realizing Dust's vision, and migrates to PS4. Honestly though, none of the things I hear or seen about Legion is that exciting or ambitious aside from a few sandbox features.
I have been squadding with virgindestroyer and her corp a lot and eventually joined her corp (Onslaught Inc, AKA ONS), and I am part of the super duper elite group of people who know the story behind virgindestroyer7's name. So yeah, I'm probably pretty high ranking and extra important . ONS is the best gaming community I have ever joined, and I recommend it.
One thing I will never be able to let go is CCP's treatment of game modes. Domination is basically a tweaked version of simple boring Skirmish, and OMS is pretty much a tweaked version of Ambush. I'm sick of only getting modes that are just the exact same thing. For close to 2 years I have been asking for a mode with an attack/defend mode similar to the original Skirmish 1.0 of closed beta. Game modes were never given more than an ounce of attention in Dust. The current boring game mode situation to me is the absolute WORST aspect of this game, and it genuinely makes me angry because we had this really interesting and engaging mode (Skirmish 1.0) and it just got scrapped. I'm tired of doing the same things over and over.
