My ps4 controller works on mine and most games support it now.
Keyboard and mouse takes time to get good with.
You PC should automatically install the ps4 controller when you plug it in and you will have to sort the key bindings in the options of most games and controller is listed as joystick support.
Git gud.

Was in a similar situation as you where my consecutive days of logging in came to end (mine was due to vacation.) This was right at the time of FanFest and I admit that the game had been losing its appeal for me (to the point where I wasn't even capping out each week) but, after about two weeks away from the game, I decided to give it another go and have been enjoying it much more since my hiatus.

But do those former addicts hang with other current addicts, and hang in areas where their (former) dealers conduct business?
If so, that former addict is behaving in a way that is not conducive to maintaining sobriety.
Just saying. Cause the addicts that I knew did not announce to addicts and dealers that they were quitting (and then continue to associate with the same people). Which, if the stupid DUST/drug/addict comparisons are continued, is comparable to what is going on here (and with others who "quit DUST").

Your post gives the impression that coming back, means coming back to play. Lots of us that left the game itself and stopped playing, never left the forums. Others, simply want to come back to the forums, but not necessarily play the game itself.

The trick is fooling the PC into thinking that the PS4 controller is an X360 controller.

I haven't played Dust in months now since Fanfest 2014 since I'm now just waiting for Project Legion so that my character can be ported over. I do log in at least once a month just to see how much unallocated SP I passively gained during that month. I also log in to make sure I stay in D-UNI because Dennie Fleetfoot tends to boot out players who have been inactive for more than a month.

It's important to take breaks from this broke ass game -- it will wear you out if you don't. I took two months off (last September/October), and it was refreshing to come back. I'm about ready to do the same again -- been rage quitting too many matches lately. Although I'm considering staying away completely until meta-level gear caps for matches are in place; will have to see how I feel about it down the road.

The trick is fooling the PC into thinking that the PS4 controller is an X360 controller. its not just that that social atmosphere is different on pc than sony ive stuck to sony for online gaming for good 7 years thats 7 years of friends i have that dont have gaming rig pc
I got a question. How many of them don't have a rig because they can't afford it compared to those who don't want to deal with PC gaming in general?
If it's about affordability, that's easy to address because nowadays you can buy or put together a PC gaming rig for about the same price as an Xbox One bundle. But if it's about not liking PC gaming in general, then there is nothing I can suggest that can address that as we all have our own tastes when it comes to gaming. For me, I'm a cross-platform player. I play PC games, console games, Android games, and now 3DS games (Shantae by WayForward is FUN!). Hell, even board games like Monopoly and Chess are part of my gaming routine.
I just can't understand why anyone would intentionally limit themselves to just one platform and not expand their horizons.
