I remember being in a plc squad many months ago. We were on the tabletop map on the tabletop raining plasma hell. Off in the distance there was a sniper on the hill. I put a 1mil isk reward to whoever killed him. I could be wrong but I believe it was d1ck or chit hoppened that nailed him...first try. THAT was impressive

I play with pyrex constantly. He uses PLC and is very good with them but if you look at his kills they are mixed between PLC and Flaylock, not PLC Exclusive. My kills are PLC exlusive. I do not run sidearms or other weaponry. If I am using a plasma cannon it's that exclusively. My kills per match might be less but they are all with Plasma Cannons.

I'm amazed at what the PLC is capable of doing.
It was either last week or a few days ago when I made two consecutive kills at 120m+ during a Domination game. Sure, they were just lucky shots, but I like to believe that the PLC is some magical device that somehow gives players impossible kills when they least expect it to.

The hotfix Alpha buff gave the PLC enough damage to OHKO a Sentinel
the hotfix Bravo buff increased the "lag" after the shot is fired by a full second. It's a lot like when swarms got the same buff back in the fall. You aren't stuck with it out, doing nothing, anymore.
I think pyrex spikes his corporate watercooler with Zopiclone or some new hypnotic

I went 15/1 with it earlier...wasn't even trying really. About half of those kills were direct hits too (stupid players trying to lean out over the edge of the roof lol). One was a lucky shot from maybe 100 meters out.
But yes, Pyrex mainly gets kills with his flaylock after dealing damage with the PLC (or missing)
and then there's his orbitals because he's almost always squad leader and running with lots of players.
I just don't play very often, and I don't really record my PLC videos because most of the time I'm just messing around and am never going to upload that footage. but if people are really THAT interested...
Not trying to bash on anyone, or say "oh hey look at me I'm a badass", but I really enjoy the PLC because of how epic the kills you can get with it are. Jumping through the air turning and firing to hit a guy at the bottom of a stairwell is just so freaking fun.

Mate, Pyrex is no god. He's a good shot(although less chances to verify now that he never squads with anyone outside of his special group) but I reckon in nearly every weapon there's someone better. (Also, you seen him with a shotgun? KB/M is no excuse)

At 4.43 he claims that 'the round went through him'. I don't think this is true.
At the start of 4.35 the reticule is red, it briefly flicks to white as the shot is fired, and it's red again at 4.36 after the shot is fired. This is because the running action of the redberry moved its leg out of the way for a fraction of second. That's easy to miss, hence the illusion that 'the round went through him'. In fact you can see the marker for the splash damage from where the shot hit the ground next to the red's feet. So the game is working exactly as intended. |

Sadly KB/M is good excuse...
The way the hit detection system works in DUST with how the shotgun mechanics work.. mixed with how they have actively inhibited the Mouse peripheral... The shotgun is nearly impossible to use competitively with the mouse against someone who just picked it up with the DS3. The mouse and shotgun, unless you specifically train around DUST's mechanics and lagged peripheral interfaces makes you hate and dispise this game.
Mouse with actual hit scan weapons with traveling "Bullets" or "Rounds" that travel towards the crosshair? works well.. Why most Mouse users use Massdrivers, Flaylock, PLC.. Forge guns..
Literally if you have a mouse and your using a shotgun in DUST 514, you have to wait for your crosshair to turn "Red" before CCP's servers and your Playstation says "Ok, your bullets will now register". You can't use that circle crosshair to acquire aim on target and and fire.. That does nothing... No bullets will land if they are center circle and it isn't "Red" the only time that crosshair is useful is when it turns "Red".
Grab a DS3 and is exactly the opposite, You can have a corner of that Circle crosshair around the target and be hitting half damage shots. You can spin around 360 in a jump let go of your joystick in the spin around where the target was and be locked on center mass. It's the easiest Gameplay I have ever seen in DUST, They put GIANT training wheels on the DS3 using the shotgun.
Grab your mouse off your computer plug it in and try it out.. Thing is... Challenged and shows off the Terrible hit detection concept and mechanics in DUST 514. Which I hope is the key focus for Legion, CORE GAME MECHANICS, Not "Fancy Lighting" *Facepalm*

In all honesty he is only using splash damage. I get more direct hits than he gets splash hits :p
