DISCLAIMER: Dust/Legion are assumed synonymous. This is an attempt at future content-based discussion for Dust, Legion, or Otherwise. All of my suggestion is based on current content (If something is not on the list, it's probably already in the game). Please keep constructive.
Weapons that are missing that I want to see some incarnation of:
Heavy [Assault, AV, Breach]
[AMR][Assault] Heavy Laser (EM) +: big brother to LR, concentrate fire and destroy vehicles, looks glorious -: prone to overheating, roughly same damage curve as LR
[AMR][AV] (Scrambler Lance) (EM) +: basically a laser FG with a huge magazine and instant damage -: prone to overheating, like FG entirely too accurate to be used against infantry
[AMR][Breach] Arc Cannon (EM) +: fires directed but scattered lighting bolts at HMG pace, great agaisnt even vehicle shields -: low range, EM damage profile, pone to overheating
[CAL][Assault] Gauss Rifle (Rail) +: Essentially a lower damage, faster firing 20gj Railgun in your hands -: comparatively slow firing, weak in CQC, tiny magazine
[CAL][AV] Guided Missile System (Explosive) +: lock on (even to infantry), then laser one large FG damage missile anywhere you need -: countered easily by loss of line-of-sight, single fire magazine, missile can be shot down
[GAL][Assault] Pulse Rifle (Thermal) +: essentially a heavy version of the Breach AR -: low range, essentially same DPS as (Plasma) Assault Rifle with larger magazine
[GAL][AV] (Plasma Mortar) (Thermal) +: triple plasma cannon, no more words needed -: long reload, arc firing
[GAL][Breach] Flux Cannon (EM) +: giant auto-shotgun that wrecks shields, lightly effective against vehicles -: tiny range, EM damage profile
[MIN][Assault] Light Machine Gun (Projectile) +: basically a RR with much larger magazine and a red dot/ACOG scope -: all the weaknesses of a RR with much longer reload
[MIN][AV] Rocket Battery (Explosive) +: 20-round long range flaylock gun, pretty good agaisnt infantry and vehicles alike -: long reload, explosive damage profile, hard to hit infantry
Light [AV, Rifle, Sniper, Specialist]
[AMR][AV] Heat Javelin (EM) +: slow to charge, high damage, straight PlC-damage, large magazine -: instant overheat (except AMR assault), EM damage profile
[AMR][Sniper] Beam Rifle (EM) +: slow to charge, similar to ScR in operation with SnR range -: prone to overheating, EM damage profile, no reticle ouside of ADS
[CAL][Specialist] Impact Shield (Melee) +: hold L1+R1 to activate, maintains 500/750/1000 shields before breaking, 5sRD, 10sSDD, 50hp/sSRR, doubles melee damage -: wont protect you for long, have to ADS-walk while active (designed for Commandos/Logis)
[GAL][Sniper] Ion Rifle (Thermal) +: large magazine, low sway, has reticle outside of ADS -: barely out-ranges ScR, prone to eventual overheating
[MIN][AV] Skyline Mortar (Explosive) +: very high FG-alpha, has arc targeting built-in, shoots straight up and over obstacles then rockets down -: requires 1s stationary setup/takedown, arc firing, explosive damage profile, low splash but large radius
[MIN][Sniper] (Precision Rifle) (Projectile) +: comparatively large magazine, little to no sway, has reticle outside of ADS -: low damage, comparatively low range
Sidearm [Automatic, Melee, Pistol]
[AMR][Auto] Torch Gun (Thermal) +: solid damage flamethrower style weapon, lightly effective against vehicles -: comparatively short range, very quick overheat, signature exposure
[AMR][Melee] Broadsword (Nova) +: charge to assasinate, hold L1 to block ONE single shot from any weapon, viable damage, Amarr Victor, etc. -: swings and charges significantly slower than KN
[GAL][Auto] Pulse SMG (Thermal) +: 3-barrel rotating spread shot with GAL assault bouns in mind, huge magazine -: short range, comparatively slow fire rate
[GAL][Melee] Flux Bracers (Nova/Flux) +: charge to assasinate, knuckles instatly pop infantry shields, light AV effectiveness, falcon pawnch, etc. -: slowest charge time of melee weapons
[MIN][Melee] E-Hatchet (Nova/Explosive) +: charge to assasinate, hold L1 to aim and then R1 to throw, explodes like grenade, designed for MIN Scout -: swings slightly faster but does less damage than AMR broadsword, can lose your sidearm
