I can actually armor tank with an Amarr Assault?! Armor?! On Amarr?!?!?! My Shield Regulators on my Caldari do more than barely make up for my Extender penalty?! Gallente Assaults are dominant CQC brawlers instead of being slow, easy kills?! Uh...the Minmatar are doing ok, I guess. At least now they can actually fit Reactive Plates.
AND FINALLY MILITIA RIFLES AFTER ALL THIS TIME. AND LONGER ACADEMY!
I really like these Hotfixes. +1 to whoever is in charge.
IMHO, there is only a few things left before the current game is almost completely "balanced":
1. Amarr Militia Medium needs a slot layout of 1H,1L to be actualy usable. - 2H,0L makes the suit useless solo (especially for new players). Alternatively, see 2. - Consider migrating a slot for Minmatar Militia Mediums from 3H,0L --> 2H,1L. Alternatively, see 2. - Consider giving all Commandos an extra slot. All of them need an extra low at every level.
2. All suits need at least 1hp/s armor repair. - Cal 1hp/s, Amr/Min 2hp/s, Gal 3+hp/s (this has been suggested before, I'm sure) - would not be overpowered (would not change much, really, ask the Gallente) - helps Minmatar Basic Mediums, Assaults, and Militia Mediums in particular (why was it removed?) - makes Amarr Militia Mediums somewhat usable (unless slot layout changes) - I can fit more shield regulators. Please please please. - Alternatively make Supply Depots have a slow regenerating field.
3. Militia Pistols por favor. Gracias. - Also consider militia specialist weapons as well (i.e., Plasma Cannon for Gal Anti-Armor)
Thoughts?
If they remove my (totally 100% balanced) exploit, they owe me cash money and a respec!!!

I don't see why not. Self-repairing armor seems like an easier thing to engineer than impact shields.
Other than Lore-based reasons, I foresee no issue with passive reps at such low numbers. I feel as though it opens more fitting options for all races. At the moment everyone has a low slot that (more often than not) must be dedicated to a rep.

I read 408 shields, 178 armor. At ADV add an extender for 480 shields.

30 isn't really all that bad. 408/480 shields come back in 14/16 seconds. If you're still getting shot at that's your problem.
Alternatively, 1 complex extender puts a Cal Assault at 335 shields, which isn't great, but coupled with an energizer and plate/rep you can get a more than satisfactory hybrid tank.
