I remember reading that "payouts" would be increased for matches, but I figured it was just Isk. However, I just got 4K SP for an Ambush OMS match. Not that I'm complaining, but I only went 11-2, and while we did win, I've never gotten that much SP out of an ambush where there wasn't either an SP event going on, or I was doing logi work or killing tanks right and left. I know there's an event going on at the moment, but I thought it was just for AUR gear.

I know protosuits affect the Isk gained, but I don't believe it works for SP. Still not really sure what the deal was, I got a similar score in the last match and only 2500, which is the average payout I seem to get in Ambush matches.

Time elapsed+wp=x amount of sp I think.
Where you come on the leaderboard determines pay I believe and if 1st does really well (hi) then they steal most of the winnings.
So it is tied in with wp also but destroying stuff is like a bonus or multiplier.
Its probably a bit more complex than that anyway, or simpler.

It was likely a long match and you had alot of assists or did something else to get a little higher amount of WP.
SP payouts are 5 SP for every second in battle and 1 SP per WP. Assuming the match lasted 10 minutes which could easily happen you would earn 3000 SP from time in battle and only need 1000 WP to get the payout you are talking about. If the match lasted the full 15 minutes you would have earned 4500 SP just from time in battle.

Ah, that explains it. It wasn't the usual stomp, so yea, it was actually a surprisingly long match and a rather fun one at that.

Was the match drawn out? You get 5 SP for every second.
Also, only WP and time determine SP payouts. A drawn out match plus tons of WPs nets you a lot of SP. So it seems like you just had a long battle and/or you got WPs from other actions besides killing.
