I'm glad to see IWS running. For one, I'm excrutiatingly curious how the numbers for the first ever CPM election will turn out, and having an incumbent running will be interesting.
But the big thing is that we do not want the CPM to lose the headway made so far over the last year. There is logic in having someone who had participated in the previous year's discussions and can continue to hold CCP accountable for them. While IWS badly needs to skill up "Tact" to 5 with his forum posting, he's a wealth of knowledge, and while you can complain about the tone of his posts, you cannot complain that he doesn't communicate enough.

Now let me let you in on a little secret:
- When I post, I wright the entire post in a word processor program. - Then I read the entire post over again to do copyediting and to make sure it is clear. I look for stuff that could be misinterpreted, or stuff that felt good to type, but does not reflect what I truly believe when I actually take the time to think about it. - If it is controversial I may go grab a coffee and then read it again when I get back. - Then I copy and past it into a post on the forum. - Then I scan through again to look for copyediting issues. (Sometimes the Spell check on my word processor is set to Canadian English while my browser Spell Check is set to American English.) - Then I hit the Preview button and read the entire post again, carefully, line by line. - Only then do I hit GÇ£PostGÇ¥. - Then I read my new post, usually to find a glaring error that I somehow missed the first four times I read it. So I edit my post to correct the issue.
Stupid mistakes and stupid statements still slip through occasionally, but I think overall I am well respected for the quality and thoughtfulness of my posts on this forum. Now you know why.
This is why IWS has had enough time to make 14,672 forum posts, and you've only had time to write 3,031. ;)
