IWS, We've locked horns (pens? keyboards? whatever ) on more than one occasion. While I can't claim to always agree with your ideas, or their presentation, I also cannot honestly deny the simple fact that you have - more than once - caused me to think differently about a subject or the game.
I make active efforts to be reasonable and constructive in my posts but I was hard put to remain so when I first saw the concept of tiericide floated. What I thought it meant at the time was extremely frustrating to me as I mistakenly believed it would strip important progression out of the game. You however kept the conversation rolling, avoiding hyperbole or personal attacks even in the face of my rather dogged resistance to the subject, until I finally began to grasp that well done tiericide is about creating unique and effective roles for everything, which is an idea I fell in love with. Because bluntly it lives at the heart of balance and a balanced sandbox offers players more choices and more freedom. (Which is what I'm all about).
The point - As I'm sure you know working on the council is as much about working with the other council members effectively as it is about any specific topic. While I don't expect a CPM 1 term together (if the voters so choose) to be free of disagreements or debates I do feel confident that even in the midst of such "confrontations" we could both keep level heads and be constructive, professional, and focus on the good of the game/player base over our own personal biases. I firmly believe this because, although it wasn't in chambers, we've already done this.
While CPM 1 will rightfully be composed of whoever the players decide to elect, your passion and dedication are evident and in many ways your body of work speaks for itself. It is my view that anyone who hasn't formed an opinion of you during your current term as CPM should take the time to read what you've written and give due consideration there to.
In voting for a CPM, as in building castles in the sandbox, more choices trump fewer choices. I'm glad the voters have another dedicated candidate to consider when making their selection.
