We need a self-destruct button added to our merc utility selector when we are out of the vehicle. That way, if some scrub team member steals your ride, you simply blow it up. Self-destruct could add other fun dynamics to game play as well, like leaving it sitting out as bait and when an opponent approaches it, then kablooey!
CCP, If you're not going to give us locks, then at least give us self destruct.

I, too, have saved a team member's vehicle many a time, but you know that is a very rare occurrence. I'd prefer blowing the bastard to bits. I have had hundreds of vehicles stolen, and not once has a mate "saved" my vehicle from harms way.

Injustice ... Revenge! We are helpless to do anything about a team member who steals a vehicle. Obviously, using the vehicle destruct utility would be optional, leaving it up to the discretion of the vehicle owner.
When I lose a vehicle, it's usually to a team mate who manages to get into my vehicle somehow, although I did not offer him a ride, and then he just sits there until I hop out to take care of some quick business. I'm not so over protective of my vehicle that I'm going to let some jack*ss with nothing better to do than wait for the opportunity to steal, prevent me from carrying on my mission. It's a known risk. I accept it and I don't let it stop me. But I would like some power to blow up my own vehicle with the perpetrator inside.

Are you talking about the potential of someone using a standard dropship and self destructing while ramming you, or something like that?

I never want to work with a player who is more concerned over something so petty as perceived revenge because of his own mistake.
What are you even talking about? It's not a mistake. I have so much ISK that I can just flush ADSes down the drain if I want to. I don't care that my vehicle was stolen. I care that some bastard blueberry broke my rhythm, my continuity of play just because he wants to be a turd. Ultimately, I couldn't care less. I just think it would be bad*ss to detonate that b*tch.

True Adamance wrote:Why do you even care then? If someone takes your vehicle it was your mistake for not being in a position to enter it during the 15 seconds you normally have, or getting out to do something else.
Can you blame other players from other FPS where vehicles are a sparse commodity? You have to be insanely quick in Battlefield to get in a tank in most matches......
Your vehicle, your assets, your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is manned and not stolen.
You are asking to be able to sadistically punish the ignorant or opportunistic cause you are a little pissed.....
Do you even EVE brah?
I hear ya. CCP promotes diabolical social interaction. I can dig it. Just sayin'

Btw, are you an advocate of stealing team members' vehicles? I thought it was generally agreed by the community that it is a breech of acceptable conduct. Any circumvention of our morays is deserving of some penal consequence.
