More about meeting like minded people and talking/playing with old friends than fueling a lifetime addiction. I don't have specific numbers, just a general suspicion and a quick glance at eve-offline.net but I think a lot of people have been leaving due to the fact that their friends have left. I think that people are leaving less because of problems within the game but because they're starting to find it harder to deal with those problems due to a lack of comfortable social atmosphere. Just a theory though. I myself certainly don't play nearly as much as I did when I was rolling with ANONYMOUS in Renegade Alliance, but I do still play. Useful Links Aeon Amadi for CPM1

These type of big online games always seem / do a hell of a lot better when you have a great bunch of people to roll around with. That type of experience cannot be manufactured, its emergent. I have noticed the same thing, people leaving because of a sort of knock on effect. However it has also meant players coming back to the game are starting to 'bunch up' more. I really look forward to Legion and I hope that materialises however I still know that DUST has so much more in it, hell I Know the devs have assets ready just waiting to be tweaked. (Maps possibly - but mainly things like the Logi and the Scout LAV`s! I can still see them in my fitting window, why not bring them back with balanced stats)

I'm glad that I get to play a game that is unique from other shooters. And I can say I'm here for the long haul. It's good to see more positive post on the game despite everyone problems with the game. Adapt and overcome minmatars are macguyvers of new eden... and very intimidating to look at

I look at every day I have left with dust like spending those last moments with a loved one with a terminal illness... building memories and cherishing this last bit of time spent together before the inevitable end. .....yes I love dust, as imperfect and buggy as it is, kind of like the way I love my autistic nephew....it's a very "special" game.

CCP ain't solely responisble for killing Dust....the assholes who exploit the mechanics of the game did their part also.

Had the same effect when looking at Destiny trailers. Still enjoying but am concerned that legion will lose the feeling of "weight", for lack of a better term, that dropsuits have in Dust (not do much the vehicles).

You are certainly not alone in wondering this. It's weird, I feel more positive about the game than prior to fanfest even though I know it has a definite lifespan.

Having played a lot of Titanfall recently, I quickly realized what most FPS games miss...the freedom to do what you want, as well as a kind of personal involvement: no clans or factions, u just shoot people or get shot, i really just doesn't matter unless you are KDR-whoring. I just don't feel any way of gratification... It also tought me how to play with KB/M finally. I miss the time i used to play Dust together with my brother, we even managed to build a Corp with more than 30 active members at one point. And although CCP's public relations policy makes me clueless sometimes, I still wanna thank you for a great game I had lots of fun with. It' s just sad Dust will end soon and Legion won't make it to PS4, the end of a golden era :( Thanks CCP, thanks DUST community o7 P.S.: i enjoy using my 300 'steelmine' boundless hmg from the heavy event months ago on my Proto CalSent right now. I find it hard to let go of my own personal goals, but the game itself has become stale and the community shrinkage is becoming intolerable.
