The Gallente Federation Resistance would like to offer training to scouts or those who would like to be scouts on the scout training channel aptly named "scout training"
as a pre 1.8 scout I would like to train those new to scouting in techniques both pre and post cloak
I am an active player and will be able to offer tutoring on a semi daily basis
I am adept with the shotgun and nova knives equally and Mimitar scouts are one of my specialties
I offer the following lessons in scouting
to cloak or not to cloak
what sidearm is best for you
importance of dropsuit upgrades
importance of your role bonus
why a scout is not light assault
what to tank
CQC or long range
get used to dying
why basic is better
cardiac regulators because I'm long winded
what scout is best for you
complement your weapons
know your weakness
know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, and when to run
reply to this post if you are interested in joining as either a student or teacher for this channel
lesson subjects are limited to a few(1-2) per session
learning will be hands on in the form of squading/ Q sink
I ask you to be on topic if you reply otherwise your post will be removed

And why should I learn from you?
a guy who has been actively scouting for 8+ months and can use anything given to him creatively
give me an RE i give you a landmine
give me a shotgun and a corner i give you a kill box
give me an unguarded null i give you a ninja hack
give me an uncloacked scout i give you intimidation over stealth
give me your an example of one of your deaths i give you a learning experience

I disagree cowards live, warriors die
never bite off more than you can chew, and when you do run
but be smart about it because a blind backwards dash is easy to get a bead on

Solve: Newbro Scout has flanked a lone, Proto Heavy; how would you propose he take down his mark?
depends on role bonus and suit
level 3-5 mimja using basic suit uses knives and chokes heavy with claustrophobia after first charged strike
gal and cal scout unloads shotgun (most likely dies) (any decent scout has at least basic shotguns unlocked)
amar scout just dies

in response to the incredibly long post
a scout is frail by nature I am strictly non-confrontational, profile dampeners to the max
even though i do occasionally run the assassination type kill circuit in ambush
I try not to take my chances with a heavily guarded null if there are other options available
I do not encourage new scouts to go running off into such a heavily guarded position
also i agree with your comment about noob scouts trying to be cloak and shotgun scrubs

I do not encourage new scouts to go running off into such a heavily guarded position I argue that this is our job. It's on us to get into Bravo and/or on its roof and get an uplink down. It's on us to get the hack off on Alpha in Border Gulch Domination when the enemy is dug in like crazy. It's on us to flux the equipment spam in the supply depoy room down the hall from the point so that our team has a chance of pushing the point and taking the depot room. It's on us to get in there and take out their links and armor-repping nanohives. It's always on us. Our KDR will often suffer. But our team will win the match because we stayed frosty and took those deaths for the team. "Why does he die, daddy?" "Because he's a scout, son. Because he can take it. Because he's not the hero his team/corp wants, with that ****** KDR. But he's the hero they need. The hero they deserve. He's a fuckin' Minja/Ghost/Warden/Lolamarrscout.."
I agree but I will not enter a no win situation I put down an uplink immediately after hacking a null or hack CRUs exclusively to push an enemy out of an area or i clean out enemy up links I take away manpower before I hack,if I hack
you have to stop the army before you win the war capture the area surrounding the objective before you get the objective
a scout dies in vain if he tries to control the bunker before he reshapes the battlefield and dies as a result

would you like to join the channel as an instructor? you seem to understand scouting as well as i do if not better, plus you act as a devils advocate and a good devils advocate is indeed hard to find

a scout dies in vain if he tries to control the bunker before he reshapes the battlefield and dies as a result Did you read the part where I took the Charlie CRU before I prosecuted the objective, ignoring the out-of-reach uplinks only because they were out of reach (and knowing the enemy had only 30-40 reinforcements available through them and that it also didn't matter THAT much because this was enemy homepoint?) I mean, by your reasoning, a scout should never have anything to do with enemy homepoint because there is, by virtue of its proximity to enemy ground spawn, always reinforcements nearby for the enemy. All you can do is pick a good spot for your own uplink so that you can return immediately when you die (because you will die if you're lonewolfing a hot objective). That feeling when you take over the objective and defend it for the rest of the match by yourself with 200 eHP... Priceless. It's not always about not dying. It's about controlling the objective as best you can until help arrives - if it arrives.
no i did not see that part about the CRU (just kind of skimmed) and i agree about waiting until help arrives but personally I just move on after a few spawn kills to demoralize enemy team its cheap I know but if you discourage activity than the activity will cease also I rarely defend an objective long because chances are someone just did the same thing to another null I typically dont wait around for reinforcements and I also refuse to use proto gear in pub matches. for me cheap tactics= acceptable, outclassing with gear rather than skill= intolerable
but you are missing to things for dust MasterCard commercial cost of clone 10,000 isk, dorpsuit fitting 15,380 isk, defending objective until help arrives... priceless
