Hello Mr Jackal
I would like to ask a couple of questions to you: Taken from your OP about your running platform i picked up the following key deliverables you feel important:
Quote:
- Player Vs. Environment:
- Open World:
- Movement Options:
- Monetization:
- Drones:
- The Planetary Conquest Dichotomy
While it was certainly a great read, I am also a little confused as to what you feel the role of the CPM is going to be. For example you state multiple times to Legion and how its planned features are central to your campaign, yet as far as i am aware currently, none of these features will be in Dust 514. Drones, PVE, Open World Mechanics, Monetization etc
Are you stating that your candidacy is aimed at perhaps the migration of the office to Legion therefore Dust 514 on the PS3 and its CPM role are actually just a stepping stone to the office you really want?
This quote also confused me a little:
Quote:"Legion should have a great flow to it's movement."
Im sure we can all agree Legion will be very good when / if it ever gets the green light but i am more concerned with the CPM 1 office focusing on Dust 514 which from your original post, isnt quite your shared focus?
Any comments or help you can give me on the above concerns will be greatly recieved.

Thanks for the reply, a great solid answer showing fantastic passion for the Dust 514 interest group, glad to see this.
If i may be slightly forward with my next question (please dont think im being rude here) what do you feel are your qualities for being a CPM (from a personality context?)
Let me be clear - my fear is that we get a group of 'nice' people elected into the CPM who fall into the same trap that CPM0 did and never really take on CCP on difficult matters. what do you feel would be your qualities here? your posting to date is very 'neutral' which actually is a good thing, but do you have an edge that will stand up to CCP when they dont engage in a professional / proper manner with the office?
Feel free to insult me in your reply if this 'releases an edge' :)
In all honesty i think you are a very strong candidate and if you demonstrate your 'insistent side' will do very well indeed. |

heh, thanks dude, that was a great response, I can see your passion for the game is evident and being a father brings an interesting dynamic indeed.
I think your campaign has legs for certain but i still have a slight nagging concern that you are too tightly wrapped up within the other campaigns of your competitors. it feels like you are trying to be a strong 2nd place contender when in fact you should be the primary choice for many given your very strong replies.
Just an observation.

Been my campaign slogan for a year now. It's only referenced to my name, nothing to do with race if anyone cares to bring that up (though gratefully no one has tried in the entire time I've been using it.)
I wrote an entire post on how stupid it was to use this as a slogan and frankly make me concerned about your 'perspective' of things considering you were running for a position of community representatives. but then i released it was all a joke and there fore fine to be racist as long as its done in good humour. (according to your logic)
On a serious note, i know of a few CPM runners who are African American so cannot wait to see you next to them on stage or in a meeting so i can use your 'catch phrase' in some funny and damaging photoshop fun to highlight what a stupid tag line it was.

Really? thats your response?
Level with me, you dont see anything wrong with the slogan at all? really? reply to me and tell me that you honestly dont think there is anything there one could object to.
I want to just gauge your moral compass somewhat before i reply further.

Personally, I think you're being far too sensitive. The word 'black' is not always used as a racial slur.
No the word black is fine, its a colour.
The slogan 'Once you go Black, you never go black' is the content being discussed here. It is a 'popular culture' reference which focuses hard clear light on the issue of race and acts as a differentiation of such, be it a positive or a negative statement isnt the case, its a stupid slogan for a grown man to use in a public election for a game.
Any other games company would have distanced themselves from this statement WAAAAY back, frankly im amazed CCP didnt make him change it from the get go and again shows quite high insensitivity to a community that hes hoping to represent.
