Most noticeable on the web are the remote explosives. Now why is that? Well after 1.8 and giving it some time there are reasons behind all of this:
- Grenades are lacking in luster. Remotes giving 1500 damage within the splash radius versus a core locus grenade only doing 600 gives favoritism to the remotes. This kills off the need for grenades.
- People using it for easy kills. In related terms, using them as "frisbees" as some will put it. I have seen some people tossing these explosives like they are disk throwing in the olympics. There are some who will sit on roofs all day and just drop them for easy kill highly noticeable in domination game modes
- Scouts. Now I know people are like "leave my scout suit out of this". Sorry but this equipment was abused by scout users. Some will cloak and put some behind you or around you. Well I did my job as a scout didn't I, I recon and kill them with stealth right? Well yes but now you have them in 2 different options a.) go for the nerf hammer or b.) jump on the bandwagon. It should never come down to those two options ever. The cloak scout/ RE setup is very common and will take little to no effort for kills.

Now for the Assault rifles but more focus on the burst and tacticals. If you recall, the TAR's were beast back in the 1.0 -1.4 days. Due to the spreadsheet we will not see since CCP close down some of the threads the TAR's and the Burst variant ARs will receive damage and fire intervals. This was somewhat true until CCP admit that they need to buff the damage but tone down the proposed rate. As of what else hotfix bravo will bring we will need to see and stay tuned.

All that really matters is it won't bring an end to scouts thinking they are assaults. I like the recent balance changes, but the current "scout", if that's what you can call it, makes this game painful at best to play.
I'm a bit nervous about the AR variants but remember, back when TAR was king we didn't have CR and RR to compete with it.

True. I do recall scouts and the AR being "king". Scouts back then were hard to run but was rewarding with hard-work put into running that suit. Back then it had very limited CPU and PG to run anything because it wasn't supposed to carry much due to it being a light suit. Now post 1.8 scouts have just as much CPU and PG as a prototype Logistics suit without any dropsuit upgrade bonuses applied. This was an instant red herring to me, these scouts could fit more modules on and such cool but that would only lead the way to something waiting to be abused.
On top of that the bonus of decreasing cloak cost only further the issue along with new scout bonuses. You will notice this with Caldari and Gallente. This and the new suit bonuses to assault suits killed assault suits and make scouts the new assaults. lets mark the pros of the scout suit
-fast strafing and sprint speed. Can outrun anyone -decreased cloak cost -very low scan profile and a good scan radius -can be a miniature logi (this pissed me off)
In other words, if you were not running a scout suit back then and you are now because of bonuses and cloaks, in my books you are not a real scout because you did not suffer the same things the veteran scouts went through (I'm talking since close/open beta).
Now for the AR focus on the TAR and burst, you do not see it as much. I am in the same boat. How will it hold up to the CR and RR today.
