 Okay, so here's the skinny.

I aim to run Minmatar Commando with two mass drivers. Shouldn't be too suprising, given my name.

(Yes, I know the mass driver fires grenades, not artillery shells, but using a Minmatar commando suit with mass drivers is the closest I'll probably ever feel to being a walking Rupture. You know what I mean, EVE players.)

Anyway, should I run two assault mass drivers, one normal and one assault, any breach MD's, etc.? I'd just like to know. Also fitting suggestions would be appreciated. As well as tips on how to get over the RIDICULOUSLY HIGH drop.

 Thanks,
A Minmatar merc that likes artillery.
 A lot.

You should run an Assault and a breach or normal one. Always best to be diverse in weapon choices. I recommend you join this channel in game: Learning Coalition

You can get help on your fittings and squad with people. If I see you, I will hit you up.

dual MASS the basic kind that gives a well rounded improvement over previous versions. flux nade to better soften targets and nano Hive equipment slot.

as for the stupid arc/drop on the projectile all i can say is higher elevation or get used to looking up alot.

So does having two of the same type of weapon equipped double your ammo capacity for that weapon?

If you run out of ammo on your first weapon you will have to switch to your second. Keep in mind that when replenishing ammo in a supply depot it only does one weapon at a time. So one weapon might have ammo but your second might not.

Well I guess that's what I meant, so long as the ammo pools of the two MD's are separate, I'll be happy.

if i gave up my CR on my minmando i would probly dual the exo with a breach... the breach is excellent for defending a bottleneck like a doorway/hallway into a complex. i have the freedom proto MD but imo it's not worth the isk/CPU/PG cost for +7 more damage unless you really feel you can afford/fit it. it occasionally kills 1 shot sooner than the EXO.

But purely for those hallways and bridges and etc.

Breach is so situational its more a test of skill and a challenge, in honesty. I use it for ***** and giggles and to work on my aim but the Exo/Freedom is so much more reliable

I dropped the breach because of this. I have a min logi with a mass driver for those maps with tight corners where I might have to wait for backup and I know heavies are inbound. I would go EXO for dual bc dual Freedom would be mighty costly.

The drop on mass driver starts to click when you use the bottom 'T' intersection of the leaf sight to aim outside of stuff that is about 50+m away. Inside of 50m you progressively move up that sight.

In function, sure. But it fires plasma, not explosive munitions.

It fires a projectile that explodes into plasma.

MDs are grenade launchers and whilst they do curve more their rapid fire makes them feel more like close range weapons then the artillery feel of a long range plasma shot.

Tch Tch is my mass driver/explosive weapons testing Alt inducing plasma cannons

a long time ago there was a category tab for "artillery" in the weapons section of the marketplace but when you clicked on it it was blank.
