Oh you don't know the context of Godplasma.
Back when I used to squad with Commander Marquess and Hally Tari Tari, both of whom are the best Plasma Cannoniers i have ever seen, we used to leave them covering us while we hacked thing, this included using heavies to hack while they covered..... because they never missed.
I used to say that while they used filthy Gallentean Technology they themselves through the sincerity of their words and actions purified the weapons and channelled the will of God into their Plasma........ which subsequently came to be known as God Plasma.

One could say that a lot of guns in this game look phallic. Look at the HMG(those drum mags tho). The Plasma Cannon. The Ion Pistol.
The Laser Rifle is the best looking and most unique(in form and function) weapon in this game. Sure it looks slightly like a *****, but it's the best looking ***** by a wide margin.

In all honesty, I believe that the Plasma Cannon is the best looking weapon in the game,. The Laser Rifle looks too much like a child's toy for me to consider it a good looking weapon (though that's my opinion).
As for being unique, the Laser Rifle is kind of a rip-off of the XR-42 Phoenix from Resistance 2,
Amarrians would prefer you be faithful... I'd rather you be logical.
