With such high damage and rate of fire. Shouldn't there be a .1 - .2 sec spin up time similar to the rail rifle? Seems like there should be.

To late... I was pointing out that a gun of this type would have spin up time. "But it's space age" is a stupid response. And so is a troll response from a cpm. Almost pointless talking to anyone on the forums since it's filled with trolls, go get some vag assclowns.

Actually we do have lasers... They put holes in quarters at 100m. A German even built one himself.

Thanks for understanding the concept. It's like people have never seen guns or understand engineering in any way. It's not like we're using unicorn guns filled with monkey butts.

I mean look at the V8 Kriss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnKd6iXHTQg I mean the mere concept of how to do this didn't exist back then and this weapon's accuracy is highly reliant on the gun firing in the first place. I mean why didn't 1800's guns use this mechanism? Or 1600 hundreds smoothbores? There is also smarter scopes coming out that correct their calculations between shots. While the gun itself is not getting more accurate the scope is. Finally; this is a video game and trying to balance based off reality is just silly and that itself is generally considered trolling which should be meet with just as much amount of trolling.
Then change the description to... It's made out of dragon teeth ( they don't have mass, didn't you know that?)and shoots unicorn dicks while your at it.
I was asking a simple question about the physics. Here's another question to have a dumb answer to... Why clones, when robots will be far superior to biological bodies ( in the future ) and if the technology to transfer consciousness is around how fast would drone robot control be.
Btw the new scope won't fire the gun till your on target, exacto rounds are guided in flight, and even in the future mass will still have mass, that's what my question was about. To bad a cpm can't even understand it and goes straight to trolling.

It wasn't a question about the forge gun.

Thanks arkena. The barrels spin to prevent overheating, why would they spin if no bullets are going through the barrel? It would be very unefficent as a weapon if they did, the first gatling gun ever had no spin up time, why would a sci-fi minigun need it? Im terrible huh? Well, you seem kinda stupid. And it was hand cranked and operated by 2 men

Powerh8er wrote:HOWDIDHEKILLME wrote:I should rename this topic " I want heavy rage " It has nothing to with rage, i just want some logic into the game. I used to be MG man in the force so i reaaally like machine guns and i want the HMG in dust to resemble an actually machinegun just a fraction and not turn into a broken gun again because of some forum diva getting killed once too often by it.
Don't mind them actually I use a rr at range so they hardly ever kill me... I do think that scouts shouldn't be able to run through the stream of bullets once it's firing tho. Seems silly.
I was not expecting such stupid comments tho. As a mg you might have also mentioned that modern gatlings don't overheat before they exhaust their ammo supply, and not just 300-400 rounds more like 2000-10000.

Waaaaah I didn't understand the question but I still need to stop someone who I assume is trying to nerf my gun I don't play anymore, so you can believe me when I say I have no vested interests in keeping the HMG spool-up-free. Not that I think your suggestion has a chance of being passed anyway. The the rebuttal to your argument has already been posted: the technology is not the same. Claiming that Dust's HMG should have spool up because its closest real-life equivalent does, is no different from claiming that electric cars should have CO emissions because standard combustion engines do. You're simply shouting over anyone who tells you that the weapon is designed differently.
Didn't know you could hear me shouting. If you don't play why are you on the forums? Go outside neck beard.
