If I already have caldari scout unlocked, is there really any point in unlocking another suit? Thoughts, opinions, and advice, PLEEZ.

Do you have it unlocked or do you have it at proto or adv?
Either way, to answer your question. You shouldn't go into another suit until you have the following at a minimum:
4 in Electronics 4 in Engineering 3 in hacking 5 in biotics 5 in dampening 5 in precision enhancement 3 in range amplification 3 in uplinks 3 in nano's 5 in armor 5 in shields 3 in armor plating 5 in shield extenders 5 in your light weapon of choice 3 prof in your light weapon of choice 3 in your sidearm of choic 4 in light weapon (the core one that reduces CPU costs) 3 in RE 3 in grenades 5 in your cal scout suit 3 in weapon handling (or whatever the damage mod one is called)
After you do all of that then you can consider going into another suit. I would recommend you get your cal scout to 3 and then get all of your core to what I listed above. After that, then go full proto. You can balance according to whatever you want but this is the minimum you will need to be competitive with any suit let alone multiple suit types.
For the record, you can actually be a decent MLT heavy with just a std HMG.

Very helpful Eko. I've found myself in a similar position.
Better get the last fourth of them evened out.

Well I have all of that and then a little more such as proto nades.
I am trying to get uplinks to 5, Nano to 4, hack to 5, then Electronics to 5 and then engineering to 5.
Gonna be a while.

I'd take Eko So's advice if I were you.
I did things completely backwards, and went after my suits first instead of my Core Skills. Lets just say that attempting to fit anything other than garbage gear was nearly impossible.
If you want to map out and plan your SP investments, I'd suggest using the hand Skill Tree on the right hand side of the screen here.
Amarrians would prefer you be faithful... I'd rather you be logical.

YES!
You absolutely should NEVER be below 3 with E and E and should have nothing less than 4 by 8mil SP.

I believe I have everything on that list besides remote explosives 3 which I don't find necessary as the basic ones suffice. What I was really asking in the op was is there really a point in investing sp in any other suit as the cal scout can basically do anything I need it to.

You should get another suit, or at least save the SP needed for one since the nerf hammer always seems to come around. As a current flavor of the month user your Cal scout is doomed! DOOMED!

Eh, whatever. Depends on your total SP and your cores; nothing wrong with taking a second suit to ADV if that floats your boat. If the versatility (or even the new playstyle) helps keep you around, do it.
Definitely work on your cores, though; by about 40M lifetime you should have most if not all of them maxed (assuming you're pure infantry. I'll have mine done by about 55M, I think).

Logi is fun.
Heavy is fun.
It's better to just do what you enjoy.. If that is scout? then specialize around it..
If you want to just worry about supporting more then slaying logi is fun... If you get in those meat grinder matches Heavy is really fun.

I have all my cores maxed out bar weapon ones and I kind of just want to wait and see what happens next time they adjust suits, if thy even get around to it.
