Guys, I urge you to wait until you can hear more from CCP this coming week, there is some patently false information included in this video. There is most certainly community staff and devs at CCP for CPM1 to work with, this idea that CCP has left the community with nobody just isn't true. It's sad that Saberwing and Eterne as gone, but others will be stepping up and the work on both Dust and Legion will continue. |

Bam and i were speaking this morning and agreed this needs to be heard after Sabrewing told me directly and confirmed he was okay for Bamm and i to do a video on this topic.
CPM0 is not there to hide information from the community its supposed to represent. Its not there to decide when information can be released as it suits CCP and not the community.
Frankly you are a disgrace to this game and have shown total disrespect to the community you were supposed to represent and i would ask one thing, whose side are you on? feels like you are constantly angling for a CCP job Hans.
Enough bullshit Pyrex. I've had it with your ******** propaganda.
I didn't forbid anyone from posting anything. Actually, I encouraged BAMM to post the information instead of teasing the community with it a he was doing in the Biomassed podcast Skype channel. He was being a jerk and taunting players with "I know something you don't know" and my initial response (with witnesses) was for him to just go and tell people instead of playing stupid "I KNOW SEKRETZ GUYS" games.
After much discussion with BAMM, we agreed that it would be best for CCP to post this themselves, and BAMM agreed to do so. I never once told him that he wasn't allowed to use a youtube video, I said it wasn't very classy to use youtube and draw attention to his channel when he could have just gone THAT MOMENT (not waiting, not hiding anything) and posting this information on the channel. If BAMM wanted to get the information out, he could have done so yesterday, I certainly wasn't trying to stop him. I just thought it was better for CCP to have the courage to announce this stuff instead of leaving it up to the community to deal with themslves, and its unfortunate that they once again are sitting around instead of communicating with players.
I know you don't like me Pyrex, but twisting this into a monster of a lie isn't going to accomplish anything here. The transition from "BAMM, stop teasing the public and share the info if you're going to" into "BAMM don't release important information" is completely inside your (rather powerful) imagination. |

Looking forward to that blue tag post. I expect nothing but the best corporate speak and misdirection.
All I'm expecting them to post is that there will be community management in place to work with the CPM1 on Dust and Legion. Doesn't have to be a bunch of corporate speak, those are simple facts (we've already met with Saberwing's replacement) and without posting the news upfront like the should be doing, they've left if up to asshats in the community to run around screaming "THE COMMUNITY IS SCREWED WE'RE ABANDONED". |

i would like to again express my most heart felt sympathies for the losses of our Princes and thanks to CCP Frame for the clarity .
i admit to not handling the information in the most tactful way as i was and still am epicly pissed when i was told and i had made this video with the permission of SaberWing, ignore the last bit of it as that was an editing fail on my part there was meant to be a whole lot more said by me stuck in there but i forgot to crop it in and just went straight for the render. I was in discussions with hans for several hours where he pointed out that perhaps a video would not have been the best way to tell the community and that perhaps a post on the forum would have been the better option, but as i see it info is info no matter the medium if this was a post it still would have caused this fire storm of snowflakes. hans told me not to post anything for 24 hours so CCP could make this announcement and prep for damage control this info would cause, sadly the timer ran out and still no post from CCP, so i regrettably posted this video to inform the community. I understand that I may have most likely lost the respect of many if not all of you my fellow mercs and for what its worth I apologise for my actions. I did no intend to create this fluster cluck and i did not do it for personal gain, this is information that should have been freely available on this forum and I felt I had to say or do something.
I'm really not surprised to see even more lies out of Pyrex, its his modus operandi - but I didn't expect them from you as well. Our conversation took place yesterday at 6pm Pacific time, and you posted this video roughly 16 hours later. But that's besides the point, you gave me your word that you'd let Falcon make the statement he had to make in this thread, before jumping the gun. We both agreed that it was better that CCP break the news and explain rather than you or Pyrex trying to play Mr. Breaking News. Regardless of the fact that you didn't wait even a full day before your post, there was no "24 hour" time limit discussed anyways. It's not my job to give permission or not, this was always CCP's news, not mine, not yours. All I ever asked was for you to be respectful to those involved by allowing our contacts in community team (Falcon and Logibro) make their announcement. You agreed to this, and than broke that trust. I'm saddened and disappointed, even moreso now that you're lying about the circumstances just to defend your mistake. I at least appreciate your apology on that front, for what its worth. |

Thank you CCP Falcon for displaying tact in your post and for clearing things up for the community.
Though we may have different viewpoints, backgrounds and ideas, one thing remains surely remains. That we all want Dust to succeed. Some things get lost in translation, but we can set aside these differences and contribute positively to help the absolute vision of Dust come into fruition.
Thank you so much for this, very eloquently stated and I agree completely. My own frustration with this situation stems mainly from the fact that I see so much work to do ahead, and know that life is going to go on for both Dust and Legion regardless of the setbacks. And regardless of the false claims that there's no support for the community or the CPM moving forward. My tolerance for misinformation is low, and I will always aggressively defend the truth - but it all comes from a passion for the game and this community.
You're also absolutely right that any personal friction between me and BAMM also comes from that same passion for the game and community. BAMM's sadness and anger in the video is real, and I applaud his willingness to be vulnerable like that, even if we have our differences of opinion surrounding the circumstances. I'm always going to value his contributions and I hope (and know) he's going to be sticking around like the rest of us to continue that good work.
Disputes are common in periods of mourning, and I think its fair to say that's everyone's frame of mind right now and we're all suffering that burden. I've spoken with BAMM privately again and let him know I'm not out to burn any bridges or hold grudges, and I understand that there wasn't any malice or disrespect intended in the way this was handled. The feeling is mutual, of course.
I want to also thank CCP Falcon for stopping by and for his detailed explanation of the circumstances, this was always my goal throughout these events - even when arguing with BAMM. It's vital for the community to fully understand the transition inside CCP as soon as possible, preferably straight from the source and free from hyperbole. Now that its done and out in the open, I've no more to say about the issue. It's time to just let this heal and to get back to working on improving Dust.
